Amazon is investigating an incident after a Florida man shared doorbell camera footage of a delivery driver unceremoniously tossing a box onto his porch.
In the Ring footage, the driver can be seen approaching the home and hurling the package onto the cement porch, where it lands with a loud thud.
The unidentified driver then raises their hands to take a picture before turning and walking away.
According to the package recipient, Nathan Pekas, the parcel was delivered by Yun Express, a third-party carrier often used for Amazon deliveries.
Pekas shared a picture of the damaged box, which includes a busted-up corner.
He was understandably surprised by the unnecessary roughness of the delivery, speculating that the summer heat in the Sunshine State “must have been too much to make those extra two steps to the door.”
In a statement, Amazon told Storyful, “This video does not reflect the standards we have for our delivery partners, and we’re looking into this matter.”
Earlier this year, Amazon came under fire for the disastrous results of its artificial intelligence-powered delivery drones, which have been seen dropping off packages from 10 feet in the air, rendering the contents of each box susceptible to crashing and smashing.
And whether human or robot, rage tossing is trending.
Earlier this month, a Nebraska woman went viral on TikTok after sharing security camera footage from two separate deliveries that appears to show a FedEx delivery driver chucking heavy packages toward her pets.
In one instance, the driver, who was delivering a 34-pound bag of dog food, seemingly throws it at her elderly dog; in the second clip, her cat appears to be the target.
In both cases, the animals appeared calm and were in no way agressing the driver.
The video has sparked outrage, with many commentators demanding that the driver be fired and condemning FedEx for employing a person several deemed a “psychopath.”
A 2024 report found that on average 85 million damaged parcels are delivered annually in the US.
And even if your package is delivered without damage to parcels or pets, it is not immune from theft, especially in New York.
According to recent reports, porch pirates swiped more than $1.2 billion worth of deliveries from New York households – making the Empire State second-worst in the US for package theft in 2025.
Of an estimated 104.3 million unattended packages stolen from homes, apartment buildings and mailrooms nationwide last year, New York recorded 7,828,212 snatchings, resulting in about $1.29 billion in losses, according to SafeWise’s 2025 US Package Theft Report.
California led the shocking report as the worst state for package heists, with doorstep crooks pilfering a whopping $1.54 billion worth of deliveries in 2025 across 11,824,411 hits, the study showed.
