A wild police chase broke out in Santa Monica in the early hours of Monday morning, sending cops on crazy chase that ended in gunfight in South Los Angeles.
Santa Monica cops caught up with a kidnapping suspect at around 3:15 a.m., cops told ABC7.
The investigation involves an adult victim, but the suspect sped off, leading cops on a wild chase to Hoover and 85th streets — which is over 10 miles away from the beach city.
Cops then opened fire on the suspect, before taking the person into custody.
No one was shot during the incident and cops have said little about the gunfight or the kidnapping case — other than the victim was not present in the vehicle during the chase or arrest.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
