CBS’ highly anticipated series Boston Blue is checking back in with Donnie Wahlberg‘s character Danny — and some other members of the Reagan family — but where did everyone on Blue Bloods end up when the show came to an end?
The hit series, which premiered in 2010, followed the lives of the Reagan family, many of whom worked for the NYPD under the leadership of NYC police commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck). Frank’s father, Henry Reagan (Len Cariou), was also central to the show alongside Frank’s children: daughter Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) and sons Danny (Wahlberg) and Jamie Reagan (Will Estes).
After 14 years on the air, CBS pulled the plug on Blue Bloods, which didn’t sit well with Selleck. “I’m kind of frustrated,” he told TV Insider in October 2024. “During those last eight shows, I haven’t wanted to talk about an ending for Blue Bloods but about it still being wildly successful.”
Selleck, 80, argued that Blue Bloods should have remained on the air, saying, “I’m not going to turn into a bitter old guy saying, ‘Get off my lawn.’ I don’t believe in holding grudges, but if you were to say to the television network, ‘Here’s a show you can program in the worst time slot you got, and it is going to guarantee you winning Friday night for the next 15 years,’ it would be almost impossible to believe.”
CBS later announced that a spinoff titled Boston Blue was ordered straight to series and would expand the universe with Wahlberg’s character. The actor hasn’t ruled out appearances from his former onscreen family members. (Moynahan, 54, is the only OG cast member who has confirmed her return to the show so far.)

Frank Reagan
In the Blue Bloods series finale, which aired in October 2024, Frank briefly received the keys to the city from the mayor before he helped save the day on the show’s last case. The New York police commissioner was seen at the head of the family table as Blue Bloods came to an end.
Henry Reagan
The finale featured a scene where Henry offered Danny some advice about his love life. Henry also joined the rest of the Reagans for their routine family dinner.
Jamie Reagan
After finding love with Eddie (Vanessa Ray) and tying the knot earlier in the series, the Blue Bloods finale revealed that Jamie and his wife were expecting their first child.
Erin Reagan
The New York County Assistant District Attorney reconnected with ex Jack Boyle (Peter Hermann) before Blue Bloods came to an end and the fictional couple secretly got remarried.
Danny Reagan
Before Boston Blue, Danny was thinking about his next steps — and even seemed to ask his work partner, Baez (Marisa Ramirez), out on a date.
Eddie Janko-Reagan
Jamie and Eddie’s last scene was them bringing a high chair to the dinner table as they announced her pregnancy to the family.
