A lengthy new version of the video showing Sean “Diddy” Combs’ brutal assault on Cassie Ventura at a Los Angeles hotel has been released after being played for jurors at the disgraced rap mogul’s trial.
The much longer version of the surveillance footage, submitted as evidence, shows the aftermath of Combs’ attack on his ex — and for the first time also shows a security guard trying to calm him down.
Cameras capture Combs dragging Ventura down the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City in 2016 and throwing what appeared to be a flower vase at her as she was backed into a corner, moments before the hotel’s then-assistant security director, Israel Florez, appeared from an elevator.
Florez, who testified in Manhattan federal court Monday, is seen de-escalating the situation and walking down the hallway with Combs as Ventura remains by the elevators.
Combs claimed the altercation started because he and Ventura had been arguing, Florez, now a Los Angeles Police Department officer, said in court.
The former security director submitted an email showing his incident report to the court, which included startling photos of the aftermath of the rapper’s hotel room.
He claimed Combs attempted to offer him a $100 bribe, allegedly telling him that he could “take care of this, I got you, let’s go to my room.”
He told Combs he knew who he was and asked him out of “respect for the guest and myself, so do me the favor and let’s return you to your room.”
The new footage shows Florez walking with the hip-hop producer to his room as Ventura comes back into the frame and heads in the same direction down the hallway.

He claimed that Combs saw Ventura walking their way and “raised his voice” at her, prompting Florez to tell him if he didn’t calm down and get back in his room, he’d be “escorted out” of the property.
Combs allegedly pulled out a wad of cash to pay Florez, but he “declined the money and told Mr. Combs that all we needed was for him to stay in his room until check out, which is today.”
Florez told jurors he put his body in the doorway and stood there for a few minutes until Ventura was able to leave the hotel room.
“I started to leave, and [Combs] called for me. He had a sack of money, and he threw it at me and said, ‘Don’t tell anyone,’” Florez testified.
Combs’ lawyer, Brian Steel, pressed Florez on Monday about the stack of money the Bad Boy Records founder allegedly handed him.

“You used the word that it was a bribe,” Steel asked.
“100%,” Florez responded.
On Tuesday, the jury was shown for a second time the infamous 2016 video showing Combs attacking his then-girlfriend, who spoke in a very low, soft voice that was barely above a whisper as she narrated what happened to her in the disturbing footage.
“How many times had Sean thrown you to the ground like that before?” prosecutor Emily Johnson asked Cassie.
“Too many to count,” she responded.
