A violent duo punched and slashed a Brooklyn Five Below worker earlier this week — leaving him with “severe” cuts — in an unhinged outburst over the worker checking their bags, cops and sources said.

The pair entered the discount store on Fifth Avenue near 53rd Street in Sunset Park around 4:05 p.m. Monday and flew into a rage when the 34-year-old employee wanted to search their bags at the door, according to authorities and sources.

One of the men punched the worker, while the other slashed him multiple times all over his body with a “sharp instrument,” causing serious wounds, police said.

The employee was taken by EMS to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he is listed in stable condition.

Both attackers fled the scene on foot, heading west on 53rd Street, police said. Both are pictured in NYPD images released late Wednesday.

One of the suspects was described as a man with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a black jacket, gray sweater, gray sweatpants and black sneakers, authorities said.

The other is described as a man with a light complexion, last seen wearing a black sweater, black pants, a blue mask and gray sneakers.

Anyone with information on the ruthless pair is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
