“There are no talks or conversations going on, or scheduled, with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Naval Blockade remains in full force and effect,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

“The Hormuz Strait is open and operating. All water mines have been removed or detonated.”
For months, Iran has been carrying out sporadic attacks and laying down mines meant to scare off ships from traversing the Strait of Hormuz, through which nearly a fifth of the world’s seaborne oil flowed in peacetime.
The president’s latest statement came one day after he threatened the nation of Oman if its rulers aided Tehran in its effort to control the critical waterway.
Earlier this month, Trump told Axios that his administration was “only semi-negotiating” with Iran, predicting that economic pressure stemming from an ongoing naval blockade would eventually take its toll on the theocratic regime.
