An “incredibly stupid” woman was caught stealing an orange and blue Knicks trash can in New York City in a wild viral that is taking social media by storm.

The woman — who is decked out in an orange hat, blue New York Knicks Shirt, and jean shorts — is seen dumping a mountain of trash out of the receptacle onto the sidewalk and marching away with the can while horrified spectators looked on.

She joins another person clad in Knicks attire before the video ends, it is unclear if the two were together.

“They’ll be listed on Facebook Marketplace as “Rare Vintage Knicks Memorabilia” for $450 by tonight. Honestly, trying to lug a giant public sanitation bin onto the MTA during rush hour is peak New York dedication,” one X user commented on the video.

“Girl this is Theft lol,” another X user wrote.

It wasn’t clear when the dirty deed took place. The DSNY and clothing brand Only NY teamed up to release the hand-painted mesh wire trash cans to celebrate the Knicks NBA championship ahead of the ticker-tape parade Thursday.

“Dumping trash onto the street and stealing public property for your own personal use are both illegal, antisocial behaviors, and not what New Yorkers do. On top of all that, doing both on camera is incredibly stupid,” the New York City Department of Sanitation told The Post in a statement about the clip.

The NYPD said they have not received any complaints into the the incident, and had no comment on any investigation.

After the trash cans were announced, people widely speculated online that they would be swiftly stolen by rabid fans looking to own a piece of history.

“Streets are about to be filled with garbage because all of these are 100% getting stolen,” on X user wrote Thursday in a now-prophetic post.

This is not the first time a Knicks fan has been caught behaving badly after the Knicks took home the NBA title.

An X-rated cat fight erupted at The Canyon of Heroes Thursday when a woman climbed a streetlight pole and threw another woman who was already sitting on a perch to the ground.

The displaced woman proceeded to pull her adversary’s pants down — revealing her orange Knicks thong — and repeatedly punched her buttocks as she twerked.

The night of the Knicks’ big win — the team’s first championship in 53 years — the streets of New York erupted in chaos and disorder.

There were 63 arrests 4 stabbings and one shooting reported, with 10 NYPD officer injured in the mayhem that followed the Knicks’s historic win.

Shocking video captured a mob of people destroying yellow school buses parked in Times Square — that were meant to transport soccer fans to watch the World Cup at MetLife Stadium — with one set ablaze.
