Tish Cyrus is opening up about her daughters Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus’ boyfriends.
“My girls are in such super-healthy, amazing relationships,” Tish, 58, said on the Thursday, June 12, episode of her “Sorry We’re Cyrus” podcast. “I love love and I think that they have been much more cautious in love than I was, and taken longer to make sure it’s the right person.”
For the uninitiated, Miley, 32, is currently dating Maxx Morando. The pair have been together since 2021. Meanwhile, Noah, 25, is engaged to fashion designer Pinkus.
Tish’s comments a year after she tied the knot with actor Dominic Purcell and apparently buried the hatchet with her daughter Noah. The two were estranged as a result of Tish’s relationship with Purcell. (Noah famously skipped her mom’s wedding to Purcell amid reports that she was “seeing” the actor before he started dating her mom.)
“Noah and Tish are working on rebuilding their relationship,” a source told Us Weekly exclusively in August 2024. “It’s been a slow burn and has been very up and down the last several months, but Noah has been more open to the idea of having Tish in her life again.”
In April, Tish spoke about spending time with Noah, apparently proving to fans and listeners that the mom and daughter duo’s relationship was on the mend.
“Noah moved this year. That’s been so good for us. Being able to go on our walks and we found our new favorite ice cream truck,” Tish recalled on her podcast at the time. She then went on to praise Noah’s fiancé.
“I love him so much and honestly… he is a man,” she explained at the time. “He’s so respectful and driven and sweet. Honestly, I think he is perfect. He is so awesome and I could not be happier that you are with him.”
While Tish has been spilling on her daughters’ relationships, Miley has been busy shutting down family feud rumors between herself, her mother and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
“I rarely comment on rumors, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us,” Miley shared via an Instagram Story in May, just days after Tish was accused of allegedly unfollowing her on social media. “She’s my best friend. Like a lot of moms, she doesn’t know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me — simple, coincidental and uninteresting.”
She continued, “My dad and I have had our challenges over the years. Now, in my 30s, family is my priority above all else. I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing. Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family.”
Tish and Billy Ray got married in 1993, shortly before the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer adopted Tish’s children from a previous relationship: Brandi and Trace. They later welcomed Miley, Braison and Noah before divorcing in 2022. Billy Ray has since moved on with actress Elizabeth Hurley.
