The U.S. version of the hit NBC series The Traitors is back for another season of backstabbing and deception, and it’s doing something it’s never done before.
Whereas previous seasons mixed reality TV stars with ordinary folk, The Traitors: New Blood is the first time the entire cast consists of normal civilians. There’s not a Bravo Housewife or former Bachelor in sight; instead, lawyers and dog groomers will compete for a cash prize.

The Traitors: New Blood premieres on NBC on Thursday, September 17, with the first two episodes airing at 8 p.m. EST/PST. Those episodes will be available to stream the next day, Friday, September 18.

Is ‘The Traitors: New Blood’ Worth Streaming?
Yes. We haven’t seen it, but if the prior seasons are any indication, it will be the can’t-miss reality TV series of late 2026. And the concept sells itself. Set in a historic castle in the atmospheric Scottish Highlands, The Traitors: New Blood is a reality competition show that throws together strangers to see which ones will last the longest without being “murdered” or discovered.
The contestants, nicknamed ‘the Faithful,’ work together on a series of elaborate missions and solve tough puzzles to accumulate enough funds to bankroll a $250,000 grand prize. Hidden among the Faithful are the Traitors, who secretly “murder” the Faithful one by one before they can uncover them in the game. If the leftover Faithful banish every Traitor, they share the prize fund. But if even one Traitor survives to the end, the Traitors take it all. Deception, revenge and Alan Cumming in a kilt — who could ask for anything more fun than that?
