A heated argument in Los Angeles turned into a life threatening ordeal when a rageful driver attempted to run over a couple and their dog.
The frightening encounter was caught by an Uber driver’s dashcam in Mid-Wilshire at the outskirts of Harold A. Henry Park on Wednesday evening, where an orange car can be seen pursuing the man and his fiancee.
“I just run straight on the grass as far back as I can, I look back and I see his car like right behind me,” the woman, Celine, told ABC 7.
The incident allegedly started when the couple motioned for the driver of the car to go ahead at a stop sign so they could cross the street after.
“We weren’t paying attention because we were on the phone. We thought he was just going to drive through, and then I hear him yell, ‘What, you don’t speak effing English?’” the woman said.
Then, the car charges at them. Video shows the car making a sharp left turn from the stop sign toward the couple and driving through the grass, before eventually leaving the park off a curb.
The man, whose last name was Logan, said when the car charged at them, he pulled their dog Olive out of the way and was “barely missed” by the car.
“It all happened in a matter of seconds, but it was definitely one of the craziest things that’s ever happened to us,” he added.
The driver, as he was leaving, allegedly made a snide remark.
“Bet your effing scared now, huh?” the driver said, according to the woman.
Bystanders told ABC7 they saw the whole thing as well.
“I just see them running toward the park, and the car came up on the curve like very crazy and then he drove away,” Sequoia Hugee, who was at the park with her dog, said.
The couple reported the incident to the Los Angeles Police Department. A spokesperson for the department told The Post Saturday it had no update on the incident.
