A gun-toting Brooklyn thug charged in a brazen Labor Day shooting was slapped with hefty bail that should keep him locked up – just weeks after a lefty judge cut him a break that put him back on the streets.

Nayshawn Wilkinson, 19, was ordered held on $500,000 cash bail or a $1 million bond Wednesday for allegedly shooting a 24-year-old man at the West Indian Day Parade Monday – just one month after making easy bail for allegedly shooting a 15-year-old boy at a playground.

In that case, Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Janice Robinson ignored prosecutors’ request to hold Wilkinson without bail in the July 22 shooting, with the judge instead going with $5,000 cash or a $10,000 bond, which he posted days later.

This time, Brooklyn Judge Masateru Marubashi set the substantial bail, which means the accused shooter will have to cough up half a million bucks or $100,000 to cover the bond before he can hit the streets of the Big Apple again.

“The defendant attempted to disguise the firearm by taping Skittles wrappers around the grips,” Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney Ari Rottenberg said in court about the Labor Day shooting. “[A police officer] saw the defendant raise the firearm up and heard the shot.”

Wilkinson had been due back in court on the July shooting on Tuesday – but was already in NYPD custody on the new attempted murder charge.

Police said Wilkinson is accused of opening fire around 4 p.m. Monday along the parade route on Nostrand Avenue in Crown Heights, striking the 24-year-old victim in the buttocks – one of eight people shot or stabbed during the parade.

Wilkinson’s alleged victim was taken to Kings County Hospital and listed in stable condition.
The accused gunman was led out of the 77th Precinct stationhouse on Tuesday and led to court.

Once there, prosecutors again asked that Wilkinson be held without bail – but the judge asked what they would be comfortable with if he did set bail, and set it at what they suggested.

In 13 cases reviewed by The Post last month, the lefty judge released eight defendants without bail, including two charged with attempted murder. Five others were given bail they later posted.

“This is proof of what happens when you let shooters back on the streets,” a frustrated law enforcement source said Tuesday. “Another bite at the apple and someone’s shot this time.”
