Teddi Mellencamp has a promising update regarding her health.

“Just to give a little life update to you guys, I had my immunotherapy yesterday and they did my scans,” Mellencamp, 44, said during the Friday, October 3, episode of her “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast. “And at this point, there is no detectable cancer.”

Mellencamp further explained that she still has to “stay on immunotherapy for another year” despite the good news.

“I’m not considered in remission or anything like that,” she added. “When they told me, I was in such shock. I was, like, numb.”

Fans of the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star have been keeping up with her cancer journey since October 2022, when she revealed her stage II melanoma diagnosis. This past February, Mellencamp revealed that the illness progressed to stage IV melanoma and metastasized to her lungs and brain.

Mellencamp underwent brain surgery that month to remove multiple brain tumors. Doctors found more tumors in March and Mellencamp was told that she had a 50/50 chance of survival on immunotherapy treatments.

“And [the doctor’s] like, ‘No it’s only because that’s how long immunotherapy has been around so that’s how long the study has worked,’” Mellencamp said during an April interview on Nightline. “So that’s when I then try to find the positive.”

Although Mellencamp said her health update was “huge news” during Friday’s podcast episode, the former Bravo star made it clear that she still has miles to go.

“I’m still going to be having days where I’m feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy. So, I’m still fighting,” she explained. “The way they said it works, it’s like a year, then two years, then at three years, you’re allowed to be considered in remission.”

Mellencamp explained that doctors told her “all the tumors continued to shrink,” which is “good” news.

Mellencamp’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, has been by her side throughout her health journey, despite their split.

The former couple — who shares son Cruz, 10, along with daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 5 — separated in October 2024 with Mellencamp filing for divorce the following month. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Mellencamp announced via Instagram in November 2024. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”

Both Mellencamp and Arroyave have been candid about continuing to live together amid the separation.

“We’re just, you know, we’re great friends, and you know, I want to make sure she’s taken care of, but we’ve maintained that great relationship,” Arroyave said during an August episode of “The Eds” podcast. “So even though we’re separated and we’re estranged, and we’re still planning on divorcing, like, we’re still friends. I still see her as a friend.”

He shared that they are not “fighting” while living under the same roof and this is the “best” that they have “gotten along in a while.” Arroyave noted that it is “great energy” in the house.
