Sherri Shepherd’s daytime talk show, Sherri, has been canceled after four seasons.

Lionsgate-owned syndicated TV production company Debmar-Mercury confirmed the news in a Monday, February 2, statement to Us Weekly.

“This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show, its production – which has found strong creative momentum this season – or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd,” Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus told Us. “We believe in this show and in Sherri and intend to explore alternatives for it on other platforms.”

Season 4 of Sherri, which has been cleared through the 2025-2026 TV season on station groups like the Fox TV Stations, Nexstar, Hearst, Sinclair, Gray, Tegna and Sunbeam, will continue as planned with the show airing its final seasons in the fall.

News of the cancellation comes less than one year after Fox TV Stations exec vice president of programming Frank Cicha called the show “a linchpin of our daytime lineup,” and just hours after Kelly Clarkson announced her Emmy-winning talk show would come to an end after seven seasons.

Us Weekly has reached out to Sherri Shepherd for comment.

Clarkson, 43, revealed on Monday that season 7 of her show, which is currently airing on NBC, will be its last.

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS, both in Los Angeles and New York. There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons,” Clarkson wrote in a statement via Instagram. “I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”

Clarkson added that it was not an “easy decision” to end TKCS, but “stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.” (Clarkson shared daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remy Alexander, 9, with late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who died at age 48 in August 2025 after a battle with cancer.)

The Grammy winner reminded her fans that the end of The Kelly Clarkson Show isn’t a forever goodbye, noting that she will “still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time … you never know where I might show up next.”

She concluded, “But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”

The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered in 2019, while Shepherd’s daytime series hit the airwaves in 2022. Fans of both shows took to social media on Monday to express their disappointment at having to say goodbye.

“Daytime TV is ruthless. One minute you’re building an audience, the next minute poof,” one Threads user wrote. Another person on X asked, “So are we just not doing daytime tv anymore?” A third added, “Wait Kelly is also ending her talk show! What’s happening??”
