The Real Housewives of Miami’s Julia Lemigova is apologizing for her actions.
During the Wednesday, July 2, episode of the Bravo series, the reality star expressed remorse for throwing a drink on Guerdy Abraira during a heated conversation at Marysol Patton’s wedding celebration.
“Guerdy, I just want to apologize for throwing water,” Julia, 53, said while reading a text message she sent her costar. “I’m coming to you with an open heart. I want to clear the air and resolve any conflict between us as soon as possible.”
Cameras briefly captured Julia’s entire text message, which showed her desire to move forward in a more peaceful manner.
“I am heartbroken at the way things escalated between us last night,” the text stated. “I don’t want to spend another day with animosity between us.”
While discussing the text with her wife, Martina Navratilova, Julia claimed that Guerdy, 47, had yet to respond.
In a separate scene, Guerdy couldn’t hold back tears as she sat down with her husband, Russell Abraira, and recounted the events.
“I don’t know what to say,” she said while sobbing. “She violated me in front of the girls for their entertainment. That’s what she did to me.”
Although Russell was not present at the event, he was disappointed that other costars and supposed friends didn’t show more support for his wife.
“It’s amazing to me that not one of them had the common sense to be like, ‘This might not be a good idea. This woman is coming out of recovery,’” he said.
In September 2023, Guerdy completed her last round of chemotherapy. She later confirmed to Us Weekly that she is cancer-free after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
“I am actually sick to my stomach just thinking about it because it was a physical, symbolic act to degrade me to a level as if I was nothing,” Guerdy said in her confessional when recalling Julia’s actions. “I’ve never felt that way before.”
As an olive branch, Julia asked costar Adriana de Moura to extend an invite to Guerdy for her baby shower. She ultimately didn’t show because she was out of town in New York.
“Thank you all so much for the support — truly. Your kindness doesn’t go unnoticed.🙏🏾” Guerdy wrote via Instagram on Friday, June 27. “I also want to give a special thank you to these ladies who checked in on me after episode 3 aired. It’s one thing to live through a situation. … It’s another thing entirely to watch it all back on screen. Whew.”
Guerdy thanked Adriana, 59, Lisa Hochstein, Stephanie Shojaee and Dr. Nicole Martin for checking in off camera and being good friends.
“Sometimes stepping back gives you a whole new perspective — on dynamics, on people,” she continued. “That said, I’m still standing, still growing and still grateful just to be healthy. My focus? Good vibes only. Keep watching as I continue to share my navigation through my ‘new normal’ post recovery and continue my mission in becoming GUERDY 2.0.”
