Lindsay Clancy broke down in court on Wednesday when a medical examiner was testifying about the autopsy of her 5-year-old daughter.
Not long after medical examiner Dr. Barbara Olson took the stand and began describing the autopsy of Cora Clancy, Lindsay Clancy, the 5-year-old’s mother, broke down and began sobbing.
“I can’t do this,” Clancy said.

Clancy faces first-degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan.
Clancy, 32, took the lives of her three children before attempting suicide on Jan. 24, 2023.

Clancy does not dispute that she killed her children. Instead, her defense contends she was suffering from severe postpartum depression brought on by being overmedicated on prescriptions.

According to evidence and testimony presented in court, five doctors prescribed Clancy with the following medication before she killed her three kids:

Following Clancy’s breakdown, Judge William Sullivan ordered a recess and excused the jury from the courtroom.

Sullivan was also forced to call a break on Wednesday after Clancy began crying while a different medical examiner, Renee Stonebridge, gave testimony about her examination of some body parts of Clancy’s three kids.
