Police officers were called to influencer Sara Gilson’s Oklahoma home twice in the years before her and estranged husband Jeremiah “Shawn” Duffey’s apparent murder-suicide, Us can exclusively report.

According to police reports obtained by Us, Owasso Police first responded to a call at Gilson and Duffey’s property in March 2024. Duffey alleged that his firearm, a semi-automatic Glock 2mm valued at $800, had been stolen from his truck.

“Officer dispatched to theft report,” the docs read. “Reporting party stated that their vehicle had been broken into and items [were] stolen. Report taken.”

One month later, officers were dispatched to the residence after an unidentified individual made harassment allegations. The unknown reporting party claimed in an April 2024 report that an ex-partner had released private, sexual “explicit photos without consent.”

Another call was made to emergency responders in June, in which an unknown juvenile relative claimed that Gilson and Duffey had died. They were 43 and 48, respectively. Upon Owasso Police’s arrival on the scene, they pronounced the pair dead and began investigating the incident as a murder-suicide.

Gilson and Duffey, who are each survived by their children from previous marriages, had allegedly been separated at the time of their deaths.

“Thank you for the army. Your thoughts, prayers and gift cards have meant more than you know,” Gilson captioned a TikTok post last month. “While I’m grieving and trying to process the worst thing imaginable, I’m solely focused on my children and their well-being. Their safety and mental health is my only concern at this time.”

Gilson added at the time, “We are not OK and I’m not sure I’ll ever be the same, but God has been so faithful in this process and I feel his presence in everything I do.”

Weeks later, the fashion influencer publicly accused Duffey of pedophilia.

“Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon-to-be ex-husband, who I just found out is a pedophile,” Gilson wrote over a TikTok video shared July 11, in which she sat in a chair and pretending to clip a microphone to her shirt while participating in the viral social media trend.

Duffey never publicly addressed the accusations before his death. Us previously confirmed that Duffey was served a protective order petition in June after allegedly inappropriately touching a 15-year-old child at basketball practice. Gilson also had an outstanding TRO against Duffey at the time of their deaths.
