It may seem like child’s play, but this doc is dead serious.

A pediatric operating room surgeon is sounding the alarm of caution to mothers and fathers worldwide, advising the adults against buying e-bikes for their tykes as the outcomes could be fatal.

The whistleblower’s words of wisdom, shared virtually with over 16 million viewers, triggered a chain of testimonials from grieving parents whose kids have either sustained severe injuries or died while riding the motorized two-wheeler — a hot commodity among Gen Zs and younger which has claimed the lives of hundreds in recent years, per 2026 data from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

“Don’t get an e-bike for your child,” Cynlyn, a physician, urged online audiences. “The consequences of e-bike accidents are life-changing and deadly.”

“Kids should not be riding them,” the expert asserted. “At the very minimum, they should be wearing a helmet.”

The protective headgear could shift e-bike safety into high gear.

E-bike related damages and deaths across the US, mostly endured by males under age 30 who weren’t wearing helmets at the time of their accidents, are at an all time high.

And the concrete jungle is, unfortunately, a hotbed for the bedlam.

Researchers for NYU Langone Health analyzed 900 patients treated for injuries caused by electric bike and scooter use at Manhattan’s Bellevue Hospital for a May 2026 study, “The Fast and the Fragile: Neurosurgical Trauma in the Age of Micromobility.”

The investigators determined that approximately a third of those patients suffered traumatic brain injuries, and 30% needed intensive care. Unsurprisingly, the majority of riders went without a helmet, according to the findings.

Moms and dads of e-bike victims are now forewarning others about the dangers of allowing youngsters to go unprotected on the high-powered “death traps.”

“My son passed away 3 months ago due to complications from the TBI he got while riding,” wrote a commenter beneath Cynlyn’s clip, in part. “I do not wish this pain on any parent. Please make your children wear motorcycle-grade helmets if they are riding electric scooters or bikes. Please.”

“My 16-year-old son was riding his, and he got hit by a car. He was in a coma and on life support for four months. Had three brain bleeds, and we didn’t know if he was ever going to talk or walk again. Had a tracheotomy and had organs collapsed and bones broken,” another mom said. “Don’t buy your kid an e-bike.”

“I’m a mortician. It’s ASTONISHING the amount of children I’m having to take care of because of these e-bike things,” a death specialist grimly reported.

“These are motorcycles,” ranted a separate protester. “Why are we letting our children ride these death traps?”

“My son almost died June 7, 2025. The only thing that saved his life was his helmet,” a mother revealed. “He still sustained a skull fracture, broken nose, broken ribs, broken elbow, had to have his top lip reattached and a severe compound fracture to his left leg. So severe that if it were any worse, it would have been amputated.”

“Do not buy your child an e-bike,” she added. My son will be permanently disabled due to the damage to his leg. But he is alive.”
