Outraged diner slams Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s ‘tourist trap’ steakhouse — ‘worst fine dining experience’

These Kansas City Chiefs players may be stars on the football field, but their standout status is up for debate in the restaurant space.

Sports standouts Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are coming under fire after the pair’s Kansas City steakhouse, 1587 Prime, which opened in Sept. 2025, was lambasted in a recent social media video that has since gone viral.

Posted in mid-March by TikTok user Nicole Rose, who goes by the username @knicnaks, she uses the vid — which has racked up 607,000 views and 46.6K likes — to discuss why dining at the establishment is “not good and not worth it.”

“I went on Thursday night and it was the worst fine dining experience I’ve ever had,” Rose said.

The creator explained how it took 45 minutes for her and her party to be served their correct martinis, as their server initially brought them the wrong drinks.

She also shared that the server “did not explain any of the experience to us,” adding that they had no idea they would be getting a bar cart where the martinis would be made in front of them.

“She just dropped off these papers, said ‘Fill them out,’ and then she ran away,’ the disappointed diner recalled. “It was another 25 minutes before this man showed up. It was just him making the martini in front of you — it’s not a really great experience. This was a $33 martini that arrived 45 minutes after we sat down.”

Drinks aside, Rose and her group of diners didn’t seem to hold the steakhouse’s fried chicken in high regard, calling it “not good and not worth the $25.”

She was also frustrated that the $15 steak sauces they ordered were initially forgotten by their server, and that by the time they did arrive, her friend had already finished her steak, which one commenter on the video called a “… red flag. A good steak doesn’t need steak sauce, especially if you paid $100 for it.”

And sadly, when Rose cut into her $100 steak, she was dismayed to find it was “incorrectly cooked,” and that she couldn’t tell the server because “you couldn’t find her to save your life.”

While she was fine with the broccolini and mashed potatoes, “They were just mashed potatoes, to be honest,” she said, she dryly quipped that “The fastest thing our server did was to collect the $650 bill.”

Comments on the viral vid varied, though most dunked on the price and quality of service.

“For $600, Travis Kelce better feed me my steak himself,” posted one TikTok user.

“I helped open that restaurant and quit 2 weeks after opening,” commented another.

“Def a tourist trap,” someone chimed in with another writing, “It will go out of business after the hype of who owns it wears off.”

“I don’t care who owns the restaurant, there’s no steak worth paying $100,” read another agreeing comment.
