The Queens son who allegedly stabbed his 76-year-old father to death inside the parent’s house told arriving cops to check on the victim to “see if he’s OK,” prosecutors said Monday.

Carl Muraco, 25, uttered the ominous request after he repeatedly knifed his father, John, late Saturday night, Assistant District Attorney Jennie Evangelista alleged during the suspected killer’s arraignment.

“Check on the guy downstairs,” Muraco said, according to the prosecutor. “See if he’s OK.”

Authorities discovered the elderly victim dead inside the four-bedroom house that’s worth roughly $1 million after a different son dialed 911.

Muraco was arrested at the scene.

He was sporting a large bandage wrapped around his right hand and appeared dazed as he remained silent in court on Monday.

Defense lawyer Indira Khan requested a medical and psychological evaluation for her client, which was granted by Queens Judge Sharifa Nasser-Cuellar.

“I’m not sure he’s understanding everything,” said Khan of Muraco, who was remanded.

Video footage as well as “statements and admission made” by Muraco indicate he stabbed his father multiple times in the torso, according to a criminal complaint.

He’s facing second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon charges.

A motive for the attack remains unclear.

A neighbor said the victim lived with his wife at the home, but he was unsure if the sons also lived in the house.

“The old guy was a very nice guy. He’d say hello, that’s about it,” Ferose Bacchus, 50, told The Post. “He was always smiling, saying good morning. He’d stop and wave.”

The neighbor was having trouble coming to grips with the sickening crime.

“My reaction to that is that boy needs to get out of here. Go to jail,” Bacchus said. “If you have an argument with your dad, why kill them? No man or woman should kill their parents.”

Muraco’s next court date is Sept. 19.
