A new song mysteriously appeared on singer D4vd’s Spotify page as the singer remains jailed on murder charges.
The song, titled “Marcescence,” runs about 2 minutes and 40 seconds and remains visible but unplayable on his Spotify page.
A photo accompanying the track shows the singer, real name David Burke, appearing to take a bathroom mirror selfie.
It’s unclear why the song was suddenly added.
A YouTube video matching the exact run time of the Spotify track shows Burke rotating the camera as he poses in a mirror. The music video then shifts to a roadway, where the perspective zooms in on lights and pans around. It periodically loops back to the same clip of Burke in the mirror.
Listeners believe the track is actually the unreleased song “I Think She Knows” track, which matches video’s lyrics.
D4vd was charged with murdering Celeste Rivas Hernandez and chopping up her body, which police found in the trunk of his Tesla, on April 20.
He had a lengthy relationship with Hernandez, who was just 14 at the time of her death.
He’s pleaded not guilty to all charges against him, which also included lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under 14 and mutilation of a body.
Burke is awaiting a preliminary hearing in the case set for July 21.
