Machine Gun Kelly wants his former fiancée and coparent, Megan Fox, to get well-earned credit for all she does to take care of their 4-month-old daughter.
“It’s awesome. I want to detract all of the congrats to me and just move it to Megan because she really does all the work,” Kelly, 35, said on the Thursday, August 7, episode of Today With Jenna & Friends. “I keep getting called ‘The Music Teacher.’ Someone the other day was like, ‘You’re such a good dad,’ just because I was holding the baby.”
Kelly (real name Colson Baker) further noted that Fox, 39, was allegedly upset over the compliment.
“She was fuming, like, ‘No, no, no, no.’ She’s the one,” Kelly said. “I just play the guitar and pray that the baby is happy.”
Fox announced in November 2024 that she and Kelly were expecting a rainbow baby after a previous miscarriage. The actress gave birth to their daughter in March, choosing to name her Saga Blade.
“I think her journey — the five years of her culmination of coming, disappearing, coming back again, disappearing, coming back again,” Kelly said on the Today Show in June. “She is an epic story. That’s what saga means. That’s [also] the Nordic goddess of storytelling. So, she has a storytelling future ahead of her.”
Saga is Kelly’s second child — he shares daughter Casie, 15, with ex Emma Cannon — and Fox’s fourth. Fox also shares children Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green. The blended brood have all been ecstatic about the new addition.
“I think she’s just a good addition to the family,” Casie told reporters at the Kids’ Choice Awards earlier this summer. “Now we have two girls in the family, [and] I have another sibling. It’s cute.”
Casie attended the formal event with her dad, who also gushed about fatherhood on the red carpet.
“It opened up the side of myself that I needed to stay alive to this point,” the Lost Americana artist said. “Without her, it’s an easy decline, you know?”
Fox and Green’s children, as well as Green’s son Zane, 2, with fiancée Sharna Burgess, have also been busy bonding with Saga. (Green, 52, also shares son Kassius, 23, with ex Vanessa Marcil.)
“Of course, he’s met her — that’s his baby sister,” Burgess, 40, told People of her toddler. “They’re deeply in love. She is the absolute cutest thing, and it’s really beautiful.”
Fox and Kelly started dating in 2020 and got engaged two years later. Us Weekly confirmed in 2024 that they split for good amid Fox’s pregnancy with Saga.
