Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos might have an inside line to Summer House — but that doesn’t mean they’ve gotten any pre-premiere scoop.

“Michael, our oldest son, is a producer on this show, but he tells us nothing,” Ripa, 55, said on the Wednesday, April 20, broadcast of Live With Kelly and Mark. “There was a big scandal regarding Summer House.”

While Ripa acknowledged that she “didn’t know” much about the onscreen drama, she heard it involved then-married couple Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula. Cooke, 43, and Batula, 34, separated in January, two months before Batula confirmed that she was seeing costar West Wilson. (Wilson previously dated Batula’s BFF Ciara Miller, who claimed to be blindsided by the love triangle.)

“This sparks the greater story. Let me ask my fake cigarette,” Ripa quipped on Wednesday. “Do you ever date your friend’s ex, women? No, this is a clear line in the sand. It’s a no-no.”

Consuelos, 55, agreed with his wife that Batula shouldn’t have dated her friend’s ex without “express written permission … in triplicate.”

“There’s no triplicate. There’s no nothing, and I’ll tell you why. You just don’t think about your friends’ men in that way,” Ripa replied. “It crosses, to me, a line.”

Beyond their debate on girl code, Ripa stressed that she and Consuelos “cannot comment” further.

“You would think our son would prepare us for this,” she said. “He tells us nothing.”

Ripa and Consuelos share sons Michael, 28, and Joaquin, 23, as well as daughter Lola, 24. Joaquin is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman, while Lola is pursuing a career in music. Michael, for his part, has made his mark behind the scenes in the Bravoverse.

Many of the Summer House producers, like Michael, were left in the dark about Batula and Wilson’s relationship.

“Did anyone know? Minor heads-up, a few hours. Amanda let Kyle know a little bit before that day,” Bravo chairman Frances Berwick told The Ankler in a Thursday, April 30, profile. “So, the production really didn’t know.”

Batula, Wilson, Cooke and Miller, 30, reunited with their housemates last week for the season 10 reunion to discuss the drama. Audio from the taping leaked that night, which Bravo has since handled.

“An investigation into the recent leak of the Summer House reunion audio has concluded that the audio was an unauthorized recording and distributed by an individual involved in the production of the reunion,” a spokesperson for Bravo told Us Weekly on Sunday, April 26. “As a result of the findings, appropriate action has been taken.”

The statement continued, “There is no evidence that any member of the cast was involved in the recording of the audio. We take these matters seriously and will continue to take appropriate measures to respond to the unauthorized distribution of our content. We are aware that there is additional improperly obtained audio circulating and we caution all parties and platforms to refrain from posting, sharing or amplifying any unauthorized audio.”
