Kelley Wolf described herself as the “most unwelcome guest” in her hometown of Park City, Utah, amid her marriage breakdown with Scott Wolf.
“I’m not sure if we’ve met, but here’s what I can tell you for certain: I am often misunderstood,” the Real World alum, 48, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, August 16. “What you might not know — I am deeply competitive. I am humble. I’ve been told I’m smart.”
In Saturday’s Instagram post, Kelley suggested that she was no longer welcome in Park City, Utah, despite considering the glitzy resort town her home.
“As of recently, I’m apparently the most unwelcome guest in my own town of Park City, Utah. This is okay… because humans are sweet for the most part but we are also easily influenced and if we only know one optic… we can be manipulated. Bless their hearts… the 10 humans I no longer care for. More on that later,” she wrote.
The former MTV star went on, “Betrayal, hate and judgment are simply personal matters and I give that to God. I am only a girl, trying to relax. Anyone read my last book? DUH. I am a lover… with a splash of FIGHTER.”
Kelley and Scott split back in June, with the Party of Five actor filing for divorce after 21 years of marriage. That same month, Kelley was detained by police for making “concerning” comments about her relationship with Scott, according to law enforcement. She was released following a temporary hospitalization.
She most recently spoke out following a tumultuous few weeks where multiple calls were made to 911 about Kelley and Scott’s Utah home. One such call claimed that Kelley tried to break into the home as she livestreamed via Instagram.
The couple’s split made more headlines on Friday, August 15, when Scott released a rare statement to People addressing his impending divorce.
“[My] continued hope is to have this most difficult chapter of our family’s lives remain as private as possible, however, the well being of my children is at stake, and that will always be my priority,” Scott, 57, said. “There are some significant challenges that are making our situation incredibly difficult and contentious, and it is tragic for all involved.”
The Nancy Drew actor alleged that “some deeply disturbing and entirely false allegations” had been made about him by his estranged wife. Scott shared excerpts from text messages that he claimed backed up his accusations against Kelley.
“I am now choosing to come forward and share that she has described to me her plans to ‘make claims’ about me, although she also admitted, ‘I do not believe they’re true,’ in order to gain an advantage in what she sees as a ‘battle’ in court, and in the court of public opinion,” Scott alleged.
He later insisted, “Although her claims are completely baseless and incredibly dangerous, the worst part is that they are traumatic for our children. I hope that anyone who might speak publicly or report on such things, will consider this before spreading any further information from a clearly unreliable and completely compromised source.”
In response, Kelley told Us Weekly: “I will be very clear when I say this: I don’t believe that Scott would [abuse our children]. I’ve lost my career, my reputation, my children, my integrity, my honor, my devotion to my marriage. As a parent, I have literally lost everything except my life. I’ve done everything strategic, and I’m hopeful for my children.”
Kelley previously told Us that she was simply “stand[ing] up for children” in the wake of her very public breakup with Scott.
“It goes without question, that I would never hurt my children or anyone,” she told Us. “If that is in question… I am available to speak and defend myself against horrendous and disturbing allegation[s], mental hospitals, public shaming . I have endured the unthinkable and still … I am a mother, a fighter, grateful and hopeful that I can stay strong for my children.”
Kelley continued: “To anyone who has participated in a public shaming of myself or my children… I would like to say… I am Kelley and my cousin Karma is a bitch. We are tough and strong and we never back down … especially when it comes to our children. I ask for grace and kindness … and mostly … I ask that anyone who wants to challenge my ethics, be put on notice. I am first a mother and then… call me any name in the book.. trust me, this is not my first reality show.”
Scott and Kelley share three children: Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11. The former couple wed in 2004, after initially meeting two years earlier.
