Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are taking their whirlwind romance to the 2026 World Cup pitch.
Perry, 41, and Trudeau, 54, were spotted taking in the USA vs. Paraguay qualifying match in Los Angeles on Friday, June 12, per social media footage. The couple were seen cuddling up in their seats as the American soccer team clinched a 4-1 victory.
Just ahead of the matchup, Perry helped kick off the quadrennial World Cup with a rousing performance of “Wonder” alongside 10-year-old Norwegian singer Tius.
“That little voice you’re listening to now is Tius, [who] recorded his part in ‘Wonder’ when he was 5 years old in 2021,” Perry wrote via Instagram earlier on Friday, alongside World Cup rehearsal audio of Tius. “I heard his vocals in 2023 and was inspired to write the verses for ‘Wonder’ and added it to my sixth album.”
Perry continued, “Tius is 10 now and flew all the way to L.A. from Norway to sing this song with me on Friday at the World Cup.”
After Perry’s performance with Tius, she was spotted running off the stage to greet Trudeau. The pop star has been dating the former Canadian prime minister since summer 2025.
“They’ve decided to be much more private about [their relationship],” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in September 2025. “[They] are very interested in each other.”
Perry sparked a romance with Trudeau months after calling off her decade-long engagement from actor Orlando Bloom. The “Hot N Cold” singer and Bloom, 49, now coparent their 5-year-old daughter, Daisy.
As for Trudeau, he was previously married to Sophie Grégoire Trudeau for 18 years before their 2023 separation. The now-exes share three children.
Trudeau and Perry, meanwhile, made their red carpet debut at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her Lifetimes concert film earlier this week.
“Things between Katy and Justin are very serious,” a second source exclusively told Us Weekly in June. “After her split from Orlando, Katy really wasn’t expecting to jump into another relationship anytime soon, but Justin completely caught her by surprise. He came into her life at the right time, and they have developed a really strong connection.”
Per the second insider, Perry and Trudeau have been “integrating their lives,” which includes introducing their respective children.
“Their relationship has deepened over the past several months, and they are about to celebrate their one-year anniversary,” the second source added. “They both feel it’s important to blend their families thoughtfully and at a comfortable pace.”
