The Real Housewives of New York City’s Jessel Taank is breathing a sigh of relief after Bravo cleared up rumors swirling about the reality show.

After a Bravo spokesperson confirmed to Us Weekly on Friday, May 9 that the series has not officially been axed, Taank reacted to the report.

“What an emotional rollercoaster..,” Taank, 45, wrote via a comment on a Queens of Bravo Instagram post.

Referencing her food influencer husband, Pavit Randhawa, Taank then joked, “I thought I was going to have to go back to filming @thewiiingman taco eating content permanently.”

Rumors surrounding the future of The Real Housewives of New York City arose after Bravo announced its upcoming slate of programming on Wednesday, May 7, with a mix of returning shows and new additions.

Several Housewives franchises including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives of Orange County, The Real Housewives of Potomac and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City were all announced to be returning.

When The Real Housewives Of New York City was not listed among the returning shows, speculation began that it had been canceled. The rumors were further fueled by Page Six, which reported that there were no “firm plans” for the franchise to continue.

However, a Bravo spokesperson hosed down the mounting speculation, telling Us on Friday: “Nothing is official. The show hasn’t been canceled.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey was also missing from Bravo’s list of shows being renewed. However, that news is not unexpected as fans are aware the show has been on pause since season 14 wrapped in August 2024.

Meanwhile, a source exclusively told Us that questions remain about RHONY’s future.

“Final decisions haven’t been made, and they are seeing if they can find a solution,” one source exclusively shared with Us on Friday. “The network and producers have been debating whether or not to bring it back.”

In February, viewers watched Sai de Silva, Jenna Lyons, Erin Lichy, Ubah Hassan, Racquel Chevremont, Brynn Whitfield and Taank conclude season 15 with a two-part reunion special.

Since then, our insider said nobody has been offered a contract as people behind the scenes continue “figuring out how to make it work.”

Before season 15 even wrapped in January, RHONY producers already appeared to be looking for new cast members, as fans noticed Shed Casting posted a call on social media. (Shed Media is known for its work with some of Bravo’s biggest shows, including RHONY and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.)

“It’s that time…🍎Come and get your apple,” the account wrote via Instagram at the time. In a comment, Shed Casting noted that they were looking for residents in Brooklyn and Manhattan who have an “organic connection to someone on the cast.”
