Dancing With the Stars pro Jenna Johnson is missing Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd after their move from Los Angeles to Florida.

“I think that they are absolutely thriving, and they love it there. I’m so happy to see them happy,” Jenna, 32, exclusively shared with Us on Thursday, August 20, while partnering with Orgain to introduce the brand’s new organic kids protein smoothies. “Are we heartbroken? Yes, because we literally lived in the same neighborhood for two years, and you forget how much you take advantage of that until they’re gone, and then you’re like, ‘What the heck were we doing?’”

At the same time, Jenna understands why her extended family made the move to the Sunshine State as they raise their three sons Shai, 9, Rio, 3, and Milan, 2.

“It just makes sense for their family, and it just fits them,” Jenna — who is married to Maks’ brother, Val Chmerkovskiy — explained. “They are so, like, beach goers, and Peta grew up in Australia. She loves that climate, that weather.”

During a recent Instagram Q&A, Peta, 40, was asked why she packed her bags and moved across the country. The former DWTS pro revealed that she’s always loved the lifestyle in Florida.

“We fell in love with Boca because it kind of has everything [and] the best of everything,” she explained. “Really close to Miami, we have the beach, like, 11 minutes from my house, really top-rated schools, amazing sports for the boys, great lifestyle. I know it gets hot, but we’re kind of in it right now.”

When asked if she would ever consider a big move to Florida, Jenna admitted she and Val, 40, are “very content” in Los Angeles as they raise their 3-year-old son, Rome. At the same time, the Emmy-nominated choreographer believes in the philosophy that you “never say never.”

“I mean, you never know, but I think for right now, we’re gonna be just like bi-coastal family members and visit for holidays,” Jenna explained. “I think those moments will be so much more present and important when we do get to share them because we do miss them so much. But I’m so happy for them. They deserve it.”

In Los Angeles, Jenna and Val continue to celebrate becoming homeowners for the first time. When exploring their home, you’ll likely find Orgain kids protein smoothies in the kitchen.

“When we became parents, we wanted to give our kid the very best, and so I think one of the biggest things that we kind of switched and adjusted was only using organic or only eating organic,” Jenna shared. “When I was approached about this partnership with Orgain Kids — when all of the ingredients are organic, organic fruits, organic pea protein, no added sugars, no artificial flavors or colors — everything just felt aligned with how I want to parent, how I want to mother and just sort of the lifestyle that I want to represent and maintain.”

Perfect for busy families as an easy lunchbox, after-school or on-the-go snack, the smoothies come in three kid-approved flavors, including mango peach, strawberry banana and cherry banana vanilla.

“Rome loves the mango peach flavor, and it just was like, ‘Yes!’” Jenna said. “I love being able to advocate for other parents about what is on the market that’s accessible, that is easy to take on the go, that’s realistic for everyday life as a busy parent.”
