As much as they love their waffle fries, Jed Duggar and wife Katey Duggar didn’t name their son Truett based on Chick-fil-A.

“We love the meaning of the name,” Katey, 26, explained on the Wednesday, June 18, episode of the “Jinger and Jeremy” podcast. “The meaning of the name is ‘warrior for Christ’ and as soon as we found that out, that is a solid name. His middle name is Oliver, which means ‘peace.’ That’s a solid name and he’s a solid kid.”

At the same time, Jed, 26, and Katey are happy to admit they love a good trip to Chick-fil-A for a meal.

All the chicken sandwiches and waffle fries, however, did not have a big influence on their oldest child’s moniker.

“We do love Chick-fil-A,” Jed said with a laugh. “[Katey] found the name and she mentioned it to me and I always liked Chick-fil-A and the founder just has an awesome story and is just a great entrepreneur. Of course I’m fascinated with him.”

S. Truett Cathy is credited with founding Chick-fil-A in 1946. His chicken sandwich helped create one of America’s most popular fast-food restaurants.

“When she mentioned it, I kind of like older names,” Jed continued. “Both of us do, so as soon as we thought about it for a little bit we fell in love with it.”

In addition to raising Truett, 3, Jed and Katey are also parents to Nora, 2, and twins Elsie Kate and Emma Kate, 5 months.

Although the Counting On stars thought they had the hang of taking care of babies, raising twins has provided some curveballs.

“When you have twins, you’re both doing the same thing at the same time,” Katey explained to hosts Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo. “It’s not like, ‘I’ll change them this time. You change them next time.’ No, we’re both changing them at the same time because we’ve got two at once.”

Fortunately, Truett has already shown signs of being a helpful brother as he hangs out with his dad for short periods of time at work.

“Truett’s at an age when I can take him to the office,” Jed explained. “He can hang out for three or four hours. He’s fine. He likes to hang out and do pretty much anything that’s manly.”

At the same time, Jed is the first to give credit to his wife for being able to handle so much of the parenting responsibilities at the same time.

“Your love for our kids and your heart for the Lord inspire me daily,” he wrote via Instagram on May 11 when celebrating Mother’s Day. “I’m so thankful God chose you to be the mama of Truett, Nora, Emma, and Elsie. We’re so blessed to have you!”
