One year after welcoming their daughter, Tate, influencers Alex Bennett and Harrison Fugman announced their engagement.
On Monday, September 15, Bennett, 32, shared a video via TikTok where she told her daughter that she and Fugman, 35, who have been dating since 2023, were getting married.
“Your mommy and your daddy are getting married!” Bennett told Tate in the video. “And guess what? I think you might make the best flower girl ever if you accept.”
Tate, whom Alex and Bennett welcomed in September 2024, seemed to be smiling and excited before hugging her mom.
“We’re really excited. Thank you, sissy,” Bennett gushed. “It’s not really my ring, sissy, it’s our ring.”
Bennett captioned the sweet clip with only the ring emoji, sending her surprised followers into a frenzy.
“Did I miss a chapter? When did you get engaged? So excited!” one user commented, while Bennett replied that “this is the first page of the chapter!!!!!”
Alex, who used to run the Barstool podcast “Mean Girl,” was previously married to Graham Bennett from 2019 until announcing their divorce in November 2023, revealing that they separated five months prior.
One month after their divorce went public, Alex and Fugman, who is the cofounder of The Naked Market, went Instagram official. The twosome announced that they were expecting their first child in April 2024.
“Blessed 💗💗💗,” Alex wrote via Instagram alongside several clips of her and Fugman at ultrasounds, their gender reveal and her growing bump.
They welcomed their daughter, Tate, in September 2024 before beginning their own podcast, “Two Parents & A Podcast,” in January where they discuss all things parenting.
While many of Alex’s 1.5 million TikTok followers are supportive over her new relationship and becoming a mom, others have criticized her for moving on quickly with Fugman, who some claim isn’t that into her.
“I urge you, before you go and comment something mean to me. … I think you mean it as a cautionary, as a flag for me,” she said on an episode of her and Fugman’s “Two Parents and a Podcast” in June. “Guys, I can fend for myself. I can make a decision. I don’t know if I can proclaim this myself, but I am one strong-willed woman. I love where I ended up myself.”
Meanwhile Fugman clapped back at the haters, noting that Alex is an “unbelievable mother” and a “strong independent person.”
“I am so proud to be your partner,” he gushed. “I am so proud to be able to make all this content with you and share it with the community and the Internet.”
