Great British Bake Off’s John Whaite is closing his chapter with OnlyFans.
“I’m leaving OnlyFans,” Whaite, 36, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, September 16. “Life has shifted in a way I couldn’t have predicted — Ruff Puff Bakehouse and Ruff Puff Brownies have taken up so much of my time, but in the best possible way. They’ve reminded me of a talent I’d neglected, and given me a new respect for the craft that first set me on this path all those years ago.”
Whaite — who came into the spotlight in 2012, when he won The Great British Bake Off — announced the launch of Ruff Puff Bakehouse in April.
“Working side by side with the team, creating something real and lasting, has shown me that my value isn’t in muscles or body image — it’s in building, baking, and sharing,” he shared on Tuesday. “For the first time since Bake Off 13 years ago, I feel a true sense of purpose again.”
Whaite noted that his decision to end his OnlyFans page “isn’t the end of something” but the “start of a new chapter — “one rooted in passion, creativity, and community.”
“And I couldn’t be more ready,” he concluded. “To all the OnlyFans fans and peers – thank you for the support along the way. I wish you all well and much success. ❤️I’m not Jonny Boy, I’m just John, and I’m putting one foot in front of the other just like the rest of the world.”
Since announcing Ruff Puff Bakehouse, Whaite has given fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse and thanked his more than 300,000 followers for their support.
“Absolutely smashed after a two-day sell-out soft launch,” he wrote via Instagram in July. “I never imagined I’d get to open a real bakery, making proper laminated dough from scratch. It’s been a dream of mine since long before I was that scruffy-haired fledgling who won The Great British Bake Off. But what I didn’t realise back then was that I wouldn’t be doing it alone.”
While sharing a carousel of photos and videos — and a close-up of trays of pastries, Whaite thanked his “incredible team” and “wonderful customers.”
“It was bloomin’ beltin’ to see the joy on your faces as you tucked into our chewy, gooey corncakes or brushed croissant flakes off your chins,” he concluded in his post. “Thanks for supporting our little business – we hope to serve you for many years to come.”
