The winter holidays may still seem far away, but it won’t be long until Europe’s ski resorts begin gearing up for another season on the slopes.

We’ve already shared Trip.com’s roundup of some of the best ski resorts across Europe. Now, it’s time to look at where to stay once you get there.

The online booking platform has also ranked its top 50 European ski resort hotels for 2026 based on a combination of customer reviews, year-round sales data, consistent quality and unique themes, with luxury properties in Switzerland, France, Italy and Austria among the entries from the continent.

From a storied stay in St. Moritz to a boutique property where your skis and gloves are laid out for you daily, here are this year’s top five stays.

Kulm Hotel St. Moritz, Saint Moritz, Switzerland

Having first opened in 1856, Kulm Hotel is one of Saint Moritz’s most storied stays.

There are 150 rooms and suites on offer, with a choice of alpine or classic décor and either village or lakeside views.

The suites vary from one or two bedroom offerings – each featuring a balcony and a separate lounge and dining area, while some also include an open log fire. Guests are treated to sweeping views of Lake St. Moritz and the Engadin valley, while the spacious Corvatsch Suite also offers views of the grand Corvatsch mountain.

While we can understand wanting to spend all of your time inside the hotel, a major perk is that you are within walking distance of sights like the Leaning Tower of St. Moritz and the Vito Schnabel Gallery – a hub for showcasing world-famous American artists, as well as Swiss newcomers.

Best of all, stays include free ski lessons for all levels.

According to Trip.com’s survey of customer reviews, the ski hotel scored 9.5 among visitors across cleanliness, amenities, location and for its service.

Fouquet’s Courchevel, Courchevel, France

Situated at the foot of the Bellecôte slope at the heart of the village of Courchevel 1850 ski resort, Fouquet’s Courchevel features a total of 42 keys, each of which offers views of the peaks from the comfort of the room’s balcony.

One of the benefits that comes from staying in such a boutique property is the ability for staff to add a personal touch throughout, with each guest’s boots and gloves laid out (and pre-warmed!) in the ski room daily, with your skis ready and waiting on the slopes.

After a long day, guests can unwind at the 1,000 square metre spa, which has six treatment cabins, a double suite, a 20-metre pool as well as an outdoor Jacuzzi. Treatments include facials, massages and sensory experiences, and even your tresses can get a pampering with Balmain treatments, exclusive to Courchevel, from L’Atelier Hair Couture.

The three dining concepts include Italian trattoria-style cuisine at Loulou restaurant, Savoyard and Italian cuisine at La Table Savoyarde and an intimate tea time experience at Christophe Adam’s Afternoon Treat.

Trip.com’s survey of user reviews found the hotel rank 9.8 across its cleanliness, amenities, location and service.

Six Senses Residences Courchevel, Courchevel, France

For refined mountain living, Six Senses Residences Courchevel has 27 apartments, ranging from two- to five- bedroom stays. Each apartment features spacious living areas plus a private balcony or terrace with panoramic views to take in during aprés-ski moments.

Prior to check-in, guests can pre-book their ski equipment ready for collection from the residence’s on-site ski shop. Meanwhile, during après-ski, the ski concierge will take care of storing equipment, leaving guests free to explore Courchevel or unwind at the property’s spa without the hassle of thinking about where to keep their ski helmet.

Six Senses Residences Courchevel also offers a range of experiences, such as piste basher driving, or seeing the scenic ski resort from above with a helicopter tour. Other experiences on offer include hot air balloon flight, a guided snow shoeing tour along the frozen lakes to learn about local nature, wildlife and history, as well as husky sledding.

Trip.com found it scored 9 across cleanliness, amenities, location and services among users.

Hotel Le K2 Altitude, Courchevel, France

Perched just above the village of Courchevel 1850 at an altitude of 1,900 metres, Le K2 Altitude Luxury Hotel & Spa is home to 14 rooms and 18 suites.

The flagship Altitude Suite is a two-level duplex designed to feel like a private chalet. The upper floor houses the master bedroom, a spacious dressing room, office and lounge, while the ground floor also features bedroom, lounge and office, alongside a dining room and balcony overlooking the mountains.

Hotel guests benefit from direct access to the Pralong slope, opening to Les Trois Vallées, which is the world’s largest ski area.

For entertainment off the slopes, the hotel’s Le K’Baret space serves as the hotel’s one stop shop, either as a cinema room, performance hall and setting to celebrate private events.

When it comes to dining, guests can choose from French culinary traditions, a menu inspired by travel or Lebanese flavours at the L’Altitude, Le K2 Restaurant or Base Kamo by Aïnata eateries respectively.

Hotel Le K2 Altitude scored 9.4 across cleanliness, amenities, location and service among user reviews.

L’Apogée Courchevel – an Oetker Collection Hotel, Courchevel, France

Tucked away in Courchevel’s Jardin Alpin, this self-styled ”height of alpine glamour” stay offers skiers a choice of 20 rooms, 33 suites, a penthouse with its own cinema room, as well as two five-bedroom private chalets that can accommodate up to 11 guests and features direct ski-in/ski-out facilities.

For a perfect stay, the hotel recommends a three-day itinerary beginning with a ski trip to Les Trois Vallées, followed by dog sledding and hang gliding on day two and rounding up with rest and relaxation on day three at Spa L’Apogée by La Prairie before checkout.

Little skiers are well looked after, too. The hotel’s family friendly approach includes a Young Spa for guests as young as four years old can benefit from relaxation treatments, and even get their hair done. They can also perfect their ski and snowboarding skills with the help of instructors.

L’apogéee Courchevel scored 8.9 across cleanliness, amenities, location and service among user reviews.
