Florida Instacart worker slaps son, 6, for buckling under weight of heavy delivery: ‘F–king prick’

A disgraced Florida mother was arrested this week for slapping her young son as he struggled to help her make an Instacart delivery.

Gut-wrenching surveillance footage captured the cruel exchange just outside the customer’s door at the St. Augustine apartment complex, where Kiah Lowery, 36, can be heard demanding that her 6-year-old child “pick up” some of the deliveries — while hurling slurs and profanities at him

“F–king prick,” the woman groused in the Ring camera footage. “You carry this f–king water.”

That’s when Lowery allegedly handed the boy the 24-pack of bottled water — and eerily promised that “I’m not going to hurt you.”

The boy immediately struggles under the 26 pounds of weight, pleading with his mother that it’s too heavy.

He weighs just 49 pounds, cops noted in a police report obtained by The Post.

“Ow! I can’t hold it!” he shouts before uncontrollably dropping it to the ground, breaking open the packaging and sending the bottles rolling on the hallway floor.

The boy attempts to run from his mother, but she grabs him by the shirt and slaps him across the face.

“You’re the worst. You’re the f–king worst,” the woman shouts as the crying boy cradles his head.

“How dare you. You are a f–king piece of s–t,” the mother continues before demanding that he get back to work.

“You’re going to carry something.”

The Instacart customer reported the “violent interaction” to police the same day.

Lowery was charged with child abuse in connection with the May 31 incident, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.

“The defendant’s actions, before her reaction of striking the victim’s face, created a severe imbalance for the victim,” police wrote.

“The victim was clearly unable to hold the water and was struck and scolded by the defendant for an action that he was incapable of performing.”

When police investigated the incident, Lowery allegedly told cops that her son was being “defiant” when she was fulfilling three orders at the complex.

She apologized, claiming that her behavior was a result of an “over-stimulated moment.”

Lowery was booked into the St Johns County Jail, but posted a $5,000 bond.

She has been prohibited from contacting or seeing her child and has been ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from him.

Instacart did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
