Ezra Sosa was a vocal proponent of Gleb Savchenko and Brooks Nader ’s Dancing With the Stars romance — but did he witness any “trailer shaking?”
“I’m going to plead the fifth on that one,” Ezra, 24, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, July 10, when asked about Gleb, 41, and Brooks’ alleged hookups on set. “I’m going to plead the fifth on that.”
Gleb and Brooks, 28, sparked a romance when they were paired together during season 33 of DWTS in fall 2024. After their April split, Brooks’ sister Grace Ann Nader claimed that the relationship wasn’t “fake,” alleging on a May episode of the “Chicks in the Office” podcast that she witnessed their chemistry.
“Every time I visited Brooks’ trailer — the trailer was shaking every single time,” Grace Ann claimed. “I never wanted to go in there. I was always knocking. He was always at our house, it was just a lot. So, I think it was very real.”
A few weeks later, Brooks exclusively told Us that she hadn’t spoken to her sister since that bombshell interview. “I don’t plan to speak to her ever again, maybe,” Brooks said in May. “She’s in trouble [and] she’s in the doghouse — big time.”
While Grace Ann had no issue sharing her sister’s sex secrets with the public, Ezra stayed mum about what he may or may not have witnessed as a pro that same season. He did, however, tell Us that he was “rooting” for Gleb and Brooks despite their drama.
“Call me crazy. I feel like I was the only one that was, I was like, ‘This is crazy.’ I just love Gleb and I have such a huge heart for him,” Ezra explained on Thursday. “And going into the season, I remember interacting with Brooks and I was like, ‘Look, I feel like, I don’t know. I feel like you guys might get along.’ And at the time he wasn’t. He was like, ‘I am not dating.’”
The Utah native recalled Gleb changing his tune about Brooks “a week later” saying they were “all over each other” after that.
“I was very happy for them until it wasn’t so happy. And then I was sat and then eating popcorn [over the gossip],” Ezra, who shared his responses to Gleb and Brooks social media exchanges amid their split via his own TikTok.
Ezra remembered, “Especially at the finale when we knew that they were both going to be there. I made sure that there was popcorn and crafty because I was sat for sure.”
He teased, “Oh, we live for that era,” adding that Gleb and Brooks’ messy breakup brought him and fellow pro Rylee Arnold closer.
“I mean, I have no life, so I was teaching a convicted felon, [Anna Delvey] how to dance and being a gossiper with Brooks and Gleb,” Ezra said of that time period. “I live for it, especially with Rylee and I, we don’t have much to talk about, but when that stuff was going down, we were getting really happy about that.”
Even though Gleb and Brooks didn’t make it for the long haul, Ezra said he’s still a fan of showmances, but under one condition. (He is also still a fan of Gleb having worn a “Gleb is hot” shirt to the Zombies 4: Dawn Of The Vampire premiere on July 8.)
“I live for it, but if it’s pushed, I’m not living for it. … I live for [a] showmance. But if it’s a forced showmance, girl,” Ezra told Us, noting, “I [felt] with Brooks and Gleb, at first when they were starting to be a thing, I felt that forced showmance. And I feel like a lot of people did too. I definitely felt that.”
He confessed, “But dare I say, they started falling in love. So that’s when things got a little tricky. And that’s when I started feeling for them. And then it went sideways. It went really sideways.”
After the dust settled, Ezra said he wishes both Brooks and Gleb, who is a close friend, well.
“[Gleb is] living it up in Joshua Tree. So he actually saw [my T-shirt tribute] when I was there and he was laughing hysterically,” Ezra concluded. “I just love my relationship with Gleb.”
Dancing With the Stars is expected to premiere on ABC this fall.
