Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is the latest to get in on AI.

Sirianni, 45, is heading into his sixth season as coach of the Eagles and is looking for ways to keep his message fresh. So, the Super Bowl-winning coach turned to ChatGPT, even if he doesn’t know what all the letters stand for.

“We’ve created stories, things that people are looking up on ChatGP — fill me in on the letters,” Sirianni said in June during a roundtable interview, according to The Athletic.

“What keeps it more fresh than what we’ve done?”

Sirianni and the Eagles’ mantra is “tough, detailed, together,” but the head coach wants to find new ways to deliver messages that drum up inspiration.

So, his prompt?

Nick Sirianni, Philadelphia Eagles head coach, looks on during rookie minicamp.

“Give me a great relentless effort true sports story,” Sirianni wrote into the AI chatbot, according to The Athletic.

Sirianni then learned about an Arizona State wrestler born with one leg, Anthony Robles, who won a national championship in 2011. He planned to tell Robles’ story to the team as a way to reinforce the same message through a different story.

Whatever the message Sirianni decides on, it needs to be the right one. Despite winning the Super Bowl in 2024, the Eagles disappointed the following year, losing in the wild-card round while making many headlines throughout the season for their disconnect.

While a Super Bowl win may give most coaches more cushion in other cities, Philadelphia operates differently. Doug Pederson was fired three years after leading the Eagles to their first Super Bowl title in the 2017-18 season.

A slow start for Sirianni could lead to him being on the hot seat in the fall.
