Lisa Vanderpump is addressing Dakota Mortensen being edited out of Vanderpump Villa season 3.

“Well, he wasn’t in it that much,” Lisa, 65, explained on the Thursday, April 16, episode of Good Morning America when asked what led to the decision to edit out Dakota, 33. “I mean, he wasn’t front and center of the story line.”

She continued, “We just thought, ‘Let’s just cut it out, you know?’ He’s still in it a little bit. But you know, it was all a little bit delicate, really. But as I say, [Dakota] wasn’t front and center. We didn’t lose any story at all.”

Us Weekly previously broke the news that guest of honor Jordan Ngatikaura would be joined by his Secret Lives of Mormon Wives costars Dakota, Chase McWhorter, Mason McWhorter, Zac Affleck and Jacob Neeley in season 3 of Vanderpump Villa. The show follows Lisa as she “returns home to England to challenge her staff to the most lavish, drama-filled summer yet.”

Earlier this month, Variety reported that Dakota’s story line would be edited out of the reality show amid his ongoing issues with ex Taylor Frankie Paul. In March, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives halted production of season 5 due to an alleged domestic violence incident between the pair, and Taylor’s season 22 of The Bachelorette was pulled by ABC.

Taylor and Dakota have since filed temporary restraining orders against each other, with him getting custody of their 2-year-old son, Ever. Taylor, 31, was granted supervised visits for at least six hours per week until their protective hearing on April 30. At that time, the judge will reevaluate her parenting time restrictions. (Taylor is also the mom of daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, whom she shares with ex-husband Tate Paul.)

Us confirmed on Tuesday, April 14, that Taylor would not be charged as a result of the alleged dispute between her and Dakota in February.

“After reviewing reports and evidence submitted to the Draper Police Department and West Jordan Police Department, the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office has declined to file charges against Taylor Frankie Paul,” District Attorney Sim Gill’s office said in a statement obtained by Us on at the time.

Taylor, for her part, spoke out after the decision was made.

“Cried when I got the call 🙏 THANK YOU to those that have stood with me,” she captioned a blurry photo of a vase filled with flowers and a card shared via her Instagram Story.
