The Chrisleys: Back to Reality series finale revealed that Chase Chrisley went to treatment for his addiction struggles and reconciled with sister Savannah Chrisley.

“I just need to go and handle a lot of trauma that I think I buried,” Chase, 29, said during the final episode, which aired via Lifetime on Tuesday, September 16. “I just thought I could bury it and bury it, and I can’t.”

Chase admitted that he was “scared” to enter treatment.

“Hoping today is a new beginning. You have to win this battle,” Todd Chrisley told his son as the pair traveled by private plane to an undisclosed center. “My life story is not going to be that I went to prison for 28 months, yours is not going to be that you have a [substance abuse] problem.”

Chase and his family discussed his struggles with alcohol throughout the eight-part docuseries.

“I thought that going through this with Kyle [Chrisley] would kill me but maybe it was preparation of what I’m going through today,” Todd shared after dropping Chase off. “I’m sad I had to bring my son to rehab. I’m sad I’m getting on a plane and he’s not on it with me. Even though we’ve been through a lot, I believe God did not bring us this far to drop us off.”

Chase going to treatment allowed him to open a door for reconciliation with sister Savannah Chrisley, whom he has been feuding with for the duration of the docuseries. Their conversation was shown during Tuesday’s episode.

“I know that you’re mad at everybody but obviously you know that I was fighting my own demons so I’m sorry for my part in it,” Chase told his sister. “I definitely could have shown up for you more and I just wanted to apologize to you.”

In a previous episode, Savannah claimed that Chase had not helped her during Todd and Julie Chrisley’s prison stay. Savannah was the primary caretaker of brother Grayson Chrisley (who wasn’t of legal age when his parents went away) and teenage sister Chloe Chrisley.

“You know that I wasn’t in the right headspace,” Chase continued. “I was doing all I could do to take care of myself, and that’s not an excuse, and thank God you were strong enough.”

Chase said that he was “beyond proud” of his sister, who worked to get Todd and Julie released. (Todd and Julie were pardoned by President Donald Trump in May and released after 28 months in prison.)

Chase hoped that their discussion was “the beginning of a new chapter” between them.

Savannah has since spoken to Nightline and claimed she and Chase haven’t talked recently.

“I haven’t spoken to Chase in … I can’t tell you when,” she said in the interview, which aired on September 2.
