Celebrity Weakest Link is pulling out all the stops for the show’s season 2 themes, from reality TV villains to famous kids of A-list celebrities.
Fox released the first look at the show’s Monday, September 21, return, as host Jane Lynch prepared to question new groups of people.
“I think the character I play loves to eviscerate people and say goodbye,” Lynch quipped in the sneak peek. “The soft me doesn’t … well I do enjoy it. Who am I kidding?”
She continued, “I do my best to make them suffer for it. But it’s not like the questions get harder as we go along.”
Celebrity Weakest Link brings together eight celebrities who will compete to win up to one million dollars for a charity of their choosing. After answering general knowledge questions, the contestants bank money as a group and, at the end of each round, vote out who they consider to be the weakest link.
At the end, there will be two people left standing as they determine who takes home the money for a good cause.
Lynch originally hosted the revival in 2020 when it debuted on NBC. The revamped show aired for three seasons before moving to Fox in 2025 while featuring celebrity contestants.
“This is one game and we get to stand at our podiums and it’s so fun,” Lynch exclusively told Us earlier this year. “And it’s all these celebrities who come in — not only game for the game — but they’re game to make it an entertaining hour of television.”
Lynch also weighed in on how well she thought she would do as a contestant, adding, “I don’t think I’d do as well as I would want to do. I think I would embarrass myself. Because sometimes I go over those questions and I don’t know any of the answers. And then I’m so impressed with the contestants.”
