Cassie has resurfaced on social media following the high-profile trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs earlier this year.

Since testifying at the music mogul’s trial in May, Cassie, 38, has gone on to welcome her third child with husband Alex Fine and kept largely out of the limelight in the months since.

The singer shared her first post since the trial via Instagram on Thursday, August 7, and referenced being in the newborn trenches once again.

Cassie shared a meme video, originally posted by the @momswithplans account, which featured a man taking breaks from dancing. The accompanying caption read, “When your old self slowly starts coming out postpartum.”

Cassie added commentary to her repost of the clip, writing, “Factual. Little by little. Lol.”

Less than two weeks after providing testimony in Diddy’s racketeering and sex trafficking trial, Cassie gave birth in May. The new addition is the third child for Cassie and Fine, who also share daughters, Frankie Stone, 5, and Sunny Cinco, 4.

In March, Cassie revealed the baby’s sex in a birthday post shared via Instagram that was dedicated to her husband. She gushed, “You’ve taken care of me and my heart like no other, you’re hands down the best girl dad and I’m SO excited to see you now become a father to OUR SON!”

At the conclusion of the trial, Diddy, 55, was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, but he was acquitted on charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. Each transportation charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. The prosecution has asked that Diddy serves any potential sentence consecutively, meaning he may face a maximum of 20 years in prison.

Cassie recalling numerous alleged incidents of physical and sexual abuse during her testimony in the Diddy trial. The singer, who dated him off and on from 2007 to 2018, previously sued Diddy in November 2023 for sexual assault and physical abuse. Diddy denied all allegations, and the pair settled that case out of court one day later.

After Diddy was found not guilty of sex trafficking, Cassie responded via her legal team.

Cassie’s attorney Douglas H. Wigdor released a statement on July 2, after the verdict was read.

“This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023. Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution,” the statement shared with Us Weekly read.

It continued: “By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice. We must repeat — with no reservation — that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial. She displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion.”

Cassie’s legal team added that the Diddy case “proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors.”
