Avid sports fans will live and die with every play their team makes, and it appears Brittany Mahomes is no different.
The wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes watched Kansas City’s thrilling overtime victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 20, from a suite at Arrowhead Stadium with a group that included friend and influencer Dani Austin Ramirez.
Brittany, 31, shared a photo via her Instagram Story that Ramirez had posted of the two of them at the game, writing over the image, “Sorry you had to hear me scream and say a lot of bad words for several hours 😂🫢.”
The 33-30 win for the Chiefs now moves them to 2-0 on the season as Patrick, 31, threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns. Kansas City’s first two games of the regular season were the first two chances Patrick has had to prove he has fully recovered from the ACL injury he suffered last December.
As Patrick has gone through the recovery process, first enduring surgery, then the long rehabilitation road, Brittany has stayed by his side. When Patrick arrived at training camp in July, she celebrated by resharing team footage of him taking the field.
“Seeing him back doing what he loves,” Brittany wrote at the time via her Instagram Story. “So thankful 🙏.”
Brittany opened up to Sports Illustrated in February about being the wife of an NFL player, reminding fans that they only see WAGs on gameday or on social media.
“I think being the significant other to an NFL player is an incredibly hard role, and we take on a lot of important stuff behind the scenes that people don’t get to see,” she said. “We also get to enjoy life and do things that we love, too.”
Patrick has been similarly supportive of Brittany. The couple married in 2022 and share daughters Sterling, 5, and Golden, 20 months, as well as son Bronze, 3.
“I think people don’t even realize how much she does,” Patrick said on a May 2024 episode of the “Impaulsive” podcast. “I mean, taking care of the day-to-day stuff and [making] it where I can focus on football and focus on my craft and everything like that. [She’s] a Hall of Fame mom and a Hall of Fame wife, [which] makes it a lot easier.”
He continued, “I mean, when you get to come home and your best friend’s there and you can just hang out, it makes you want to be there all the time, and she pushes me to be great and she’s done a lot of great things herself.”
