A 13-year-old boy has been charged in Kentucky after an elderly woman was filmed getting groped on her front porch, according to authorities.
Shocking security footage shows a young creep approaching Jan Fletcher, 78, outside her Louisville home on Aug. 26 while claiming to be innocently seeking directions to a nearby park — and asking if she was alone, according to WLKY.
He then walks behind Fletcher and pretends to dust something off her back — before groping her buttocks.
“This was shocking,” Fletcher told WLKY.
“As soon as that happened, I said, let me tell you something, you better get out here and you better go now,” Fletcher told WLKY.
“So he did. He was gone.”
Fletcher said she wants to confront the teenager about his actions to ask “why he did this.”
“And I want an apology,” she said.
“I really hate that these young people are out here doing stuff. I hate it, it’s sad, but. What reason do they get? What enjoyment do they get out of doing stuff? I don’t understand it,” Fletcher said.
A 13-year-old boy — who has not been identified because of his age — was arrested and charged with third-degree sex abuse. He does not live in the same neighborhood, police said.
“Last week, we were made aware of a disturbing incident where a suspect walked up to a front porch and eventually groped an older lady by brushing her back side several times,” the Louisville Metro Police Department said.
“Thanks to the 7th Division detectives, we’re announcing the arrest of a 13-year-old male in this case,” police said.
“We hope this arrest relieves some of the fear and embarrassment the innocent woman suffered. Great work, detectives.”
Fletcher, meanwhile, says she will not be scared off.
“I’ve been here 55 years and I’ve never had a problem with anything,” she said. “I’m not gonna be afraid to be out here on my porch.”
