Zac Brown is experiencing a new kind of love with fiancée Kendra Scott.
“Finding someone I’m so like-minded with and share and align in such a way, it’s such an incredible thing,” Brown, 46, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting his upcoming residency at Sphere in Las Vegas. “It’s totally different than anything I’ve ever had before.”
Brown and Scott, 51, announced their engagement on Thursday, July 24.
“We are so happy and grateful that we found each other,” the couple told People.
In engagement photos shared with the outlet, Scott wore a pink diamond ring and rested her hand on Brown’s chest to show off the bauble.
The pair took the next step in their romance two months after they made their red carpet debut at the 2025 American Music Awards on May 26. Brown wore a black suit and a wide-brimmed hat for the event, while Scott opted for a stunning silver gown.
“Hit the @amas red carpet with the best date by my side,” Brown wrote on Instagram after the show, sharing photos from the event. “Ready to soak it all in and have some fun tonight!”
Scott also made a post and gushed about her man, who received the awards show’s first Veterans Voice Award. Brown and his band were also nominated for Favorite Country Duo or Group, but the accolade ultimately went to Dan + Shay.
“What an unforgettable night at the @amas! ♥️We danced, we laughed, and seeing Zac honored with the inaugural Veteran’s Voice Award was the highlight of it all,” she wrote. “@zacbrown, I’m so incredibly proud of you — of your heart, your service, and the man you are. You couldn’t deserve this more.”
After their red carpet debut, a source exclusively told Us that Scott and Brown had met through a mutual friend and spent a few months getting to know each other privately before going public with their relationship.
“That shared family value has been a big part of their connection,” the insider said. “They’re not just partners — they’re teammates.”
The source also said that Scott and Brown have never seemed happier.
“We’ve all known them for such a long time, and honestly, we’ve never seen them like this before,” the insider noted.
Brown and Scott haven’t been shy about sharing their love for each other on social media. In June, the jewelry designer took to Instagram to post several photos of herself and the country singer sharing kisses and enjoying each other’s company.
“Whenever I’m with you, I ain’t worried about it. @zacbrown ♥️✨🎶,” she captioned the carousel, using lyrics from Zac Brown Band’s song “I Ain’t Worried About It.”
Brown commented on the post, “Such a lady. So much of the world to explore, but anywhere is home with you.”
The musician’s romance with Scott comes after his split from ex-wife Kelly Yazdi. The former couple announced their separation after four months of marriage in December 2023.
“We are in the process of divorce. Our mutual respect for one another remains,” the exes said in a joint statement at the time. “We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together. As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time.”
Brown was previously married to ex-wife Shelly Brown from 2006 to 2018. The pair share five children. Meanwhile, Scott shares adult sons Cade and Beck with ex John Scott and a younger son named Grey with ex Matt Davis.
