Victoria Beckham is wishing her husband, David Beckham, a speedy recovery amid a recent hospitalization.

The fashion designer, 51, shared a photo of David, 50, lying in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling via her Instagram Story early Friday, June 27. David appears in good spirits, smiling at the camera while wearing a hospital gown. Victoria wrote alongside the snap, “Get well soon, daddy.”

In another photo, a close-up of David’s wrist shows the retired soccer star wearing a friendship bracelet that reads, “Get well soon.”

While Victoria did not specify why David was hospitalized, Us understands that he underwent surgery to repair a broken wrist following an injury during a soccer game over two decades ago. David injured his arm during an England game against South Africa in 2003.

David and Victoria share four children: sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13.

The Beckham family has reportedly been strained in recent months amid tension between Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, and the rest of the Beckham clan.

Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, did not attend celebrations to mark David’s milestone 50th birthday in May, nor have they publicly reacted to David’s recent knighthood.

A source told Us Weekly in May that there is some “bad blood” between Nicola and Victoria stemming from Brooklyn and Nicola’s April 2022 wedding.

“Things never really got smoothed over, and you can tell it still affects everyone,” a source told Us last month. “The tension is still present and it’s hard for Brooklyn at times. Brooklyn’s having a tough time with it. He’s super stubborn and just wants space from his family right now.”

The extended Beckham family has yet to publicly comment on the rumored rift, however, a source told Us in May that Brooklyn and Nicola “have not been in touch” with his parents since David’s birthday party.

“There hasn’t been any sort of resolution from either side,” the insider told Us. The source added, “Brooklyn is trying to let things go right now and is giving everyone space. They have their own separate lives and have been carrying on for now.”

Brooklyn recently celebrated his father-in-law Nelson Peltz’s birthday via social media after missing his father’s birthday in London.

“Happy birthday Nelson x,” Brooklyn wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, June 24. “We love you.”
