The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Briana Culberson is setting the record straight about her marriage.
“It has come to my attention that there are stories circulating on social media and the internet about myself and my marriage,” Briana, 38, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, July 22. “These stories are completely, blatantly false and downright pathetic. I have engaged legal counsel to stop the circulation of this made-up content and to have such content removed from all appropriate media.”
In recent weeks, followers have found articles on Facebook that suggested Briana and her husband, Ryan Culberson, were headed for a divorce. (The couple eloped in Las Vegas in 2011 and have been married ever since.)
When one fan commented on Briana’s latest Instagram post and said they were “so happy it isn’t true,” the former Bravo star assured followers not to believe everything they read.
“The only thing true is the spelling of our names,” she wrote in the comments. “Everything is most likely AI generated blatant lies.”
In her statement, Briana said she has engaged in legal counsel “to stop the circulation of this made-up content and to have such content removed from all appropriate media.”
“Our legal counsel has already contacted the legal departments at the relevant social media platforms, and have advised those individuals and companies who are disseminating this content, that such content is not only defamatory, but also in violation of California criminal law,” she claimed. “Legal action against such individuals and companies is continuing.”
Fans met Briana when her mom, Vicki Gunvalson, helped launch The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2006.
During Vicki’s 13 seasons as a full-time Housewife, viewers watched Briana get married, start a family and move to Oklahoma. (She welcomed four kids: Troy in 2012, Owen in 2014, Hank in 2020 and Cora in 2022.)
“Must’ve been a slow gossip week, to go after a super duper boring daughter of a housewife…who hasn’t been on TV for 9 years. Let me go and set me freee!” Briana wrote via Instagram when addressing the rumors surrounding her family. “Too much healing going on over here, turds ✌️.”
Briana asked her followers to avoid searching for any false articles. Instead, she’s hoping fans continue keeping up with her content focused on family wellness and a simple clean lifestyle.
“If you haven’t seen anything, perfect!” she wrote. “Don’t go looking for the trash. If you see something, please report the posts and the profiles.”
