This tot was just plane rude.

A TikTok video shared by a plane passenger with the username “Pale and Interesting” has sparked an intense online debate after she claimed her in-flight experience was ruined by an unruly toddler.

The traveling TikTokker criticized the tot’s mom as “unprepared,” accusing her of not doing enough to calm her hyperactive child.

“Pale and Interesting,” who is a mother herself, explained that she understands how difficult it can be to travel with children, but was shocked by the other mom’s behavior.

The toddler, whom she named Spencer for the story, began kicking the seat in front of him and engaging in disruptive behavior, such as slamming the tray table and throwing it up and down.

Despite this, his mom made no attempt to intervene, according to the TikTokker. She also pointed out that the child had no toys, distractions, or any form of entertainment.

As the flight went on, Spencer’s behavior escalated. He kicked the TikTokker, tapped her arm, and even stood on the seat, nearly headbutting her. The frustrated woman admitted that while the mother did call out to the child to stop and gave him a yogurt, she didn’t do enough.

Spencer continued his antics, even spilling yogurt on the seat and rubbing his hands in it. Eventually, “Pale and Interesting” intervened to calm the child, but as soon as she stopped, the misbehavior resumed.

Many viewers sympathized by the flyer’s frustration with young Spencer.

“Just sh-t parenting plain and simple,” one said. “Not the kid’s fault at all, but he’s not going to learn if he’s not corrected.”

However, some viewers accused the TikTokker of being judgmental and unfair.

“You bunch of judgmental busybodies!!! You witnessed a couple of hours out of their life!!” one defender declared.

The video ignited a wider conversation about children in public spaces and whether parents should face more scrutiny for their children’s behavior. Some argue that parents should do more to manage their children’s behavior in such situations, while others stress the importance of empathy and understanding.
