Ty Pennington revealed whether he has plans to leave HGTV amid the network’s ongoing mass cancellations — including his show Battle on the Beach.

Pennington, 60, clarified his future at HGTV after fans interpreted his Friday, July 18, post on Instagram as a goodbye message. He shared a video of him standing in front of the Brooklyn Bridge with a suitcase, writing, “A quiet place ✨ #findingsolitudeinthecity.”

After the post caused HGTV viewers to assume Pennington was making a TV movie, he replied, “I’m not leavin! I just travel light 😂.” He elaborated in another response, which read, “It’s definitely not over 🤗😉.”

Pennington went on to confirm there was “no special hidden meaning” behind his social media upload, which was “just a fun photo op 🤗.”

“I fear I may have unknowingly confused some people with my post yesterday 🙈,” he wrote via Instagram Story on Saturday, July 19, according to TVInsider. “To be clear, it’s just a photo- no hidden meaning and despite what you might have heard recently, I am still in fact with @hgtv and very much look forward to start filming again in September 🤗🎥 #stillkickin.”

Pennington didn’t mention what project he will be filming this fall after his show Battle on the Beach was one of the handful of HGTV cancellations. The network made headlines in June for pulling the plug on Bargain Block, Married to Real Estate, Izzy Does It and Farmhouse Fixer.

Alison Victoria revealed earlier this month that her and Pennington’s series would not be returning for season 5.

“I did a show called Battle on the Beach. I love that show. It was so fun and funny. And then all of a sudden, I watched the episode, I’m like, ‘Well, where’d all that [great content] go? I get it, it’s a lot of content to try to put into 42 minutes, but where is it? Where’s the great editing?’” she shared on her “Pap Smear” podcast. “You’ll lose a show that way. I truly believe that. Battle on the Beach did not get picked back up, which is sad, because it was like adult spring break.”

HGTV has yet to acknowledge the mass cancellations — and subsequent backlash. But Us Weekly has since reported that Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa’s Flipping El Moussas is “not coming back” to HGTV. The same goes for Christina Haack’s series Christina on the Coast, which has also “not been renewed.”

A source exclusively told Us that the trio’s The Flip Off is meant to be “back for a second season, but there is no filming date or air date yet.”

While Pennington stills has upcoming projects at HGTV, he recently showed his support when Egypt Sherrod broke her silence about Married to Real Estate coming to an end. She received an outpouring of support in June from fellow HGTV stars.

“You know, in general I thought I had decent gauge about what TV executives wanted and the last few years have completely shattered that,” Pennington wrote via Instagram. “Seriously shocked to hear this! Ya’ll are true professionals and I especially loved the designs from the last season 🙌 Keeping doing you 🙏🏼❤️ Onward and upward!”
