Influencer Allison Kuch has some thoughts about her husband Isaac Rochell’s so-called “man cave” and how it fits in with the rest of their new house.
“Where do I have a man cave?” Rochell, 30, asked Kuch, 30, on the Sunday, June 29, episode of her “Sunday Sports Club” podcast. “Are you referring to the garage?”
Kuch and the NFL alum recently moved into a new residence in Orange County, California, with their 18-month-old daughter, Scottie Bee. According to Kuch, her husband quickly commandeered the garage and transformed it into a personal gym.
“I was gone in Korea for literally, like, six days. I come back and the garage has jerseys hung everywhere,” Kuch recalled. “There [are] these resistance bands that are not all the same color. They’re bright a** colors hanging on the wall.”
She added, “I’m, like, ‘This is not matching the new aesthetic.’”
Rochell, meanwhile, stressed that “functionally” the garage “is [a] great” addition to their home.
“Yeah, I guess it is a man cave,” he admitted. “Did you notice that I got a pop-up desk? It’s a foldable desk. I can go out there, [and] take meetings. It’s my safe space.”
Kuch, who definitely noticed Rochell’s design choices, had other feelings about the way the garage was set up.
“I looked at the laundry that I had cleaned and put in a basket,” she said. “I was like, ‘Oh, Isaac was sitting at his standup desk. I guess I’ll just hang Scottie’s clothes a week after it’s done.’”
Rochell further pointed out that it’s not truly a man cave if Kuch does have “stuff” in the garage.
“If we’re truly considering that my man cave, then you’ve got to get your stuff out of there because there’s a pile of your stuff,” he added. “I don’t know if it’s returns, if it’s donations [or] it’s getting hung up.”
Kuch had meticulously designed the couple’s house — save for Rochell’s man cave — and is also working on a playroom for Scottie.
“I am starting a … little postpartum project. If you guys didn’t know, I went to college for interior design, and I’ve been missing that part of my life,” Kuch said on Sunday’s episode. “I’m renovating our little outdoor shed to be [Scottie’s] playroom. We decided to gate it off, so that the dogs can’t go back there. … So, if she’s playing with her friends, she’s not stepping in dog s***. That wouldn’t be fun.”
Kuch further speculated that their toddler “loves living there” since she can “do whatever she wants” with plenty of space to play both inside and outside.
