Ahoy, star seeds!
On May 4, Pluto, our planet of sex, death, primordial impulses, and shared resources, goes retrograde in Aquarius.
Pluto retrograde 2025
Named for the lord of the underworld himself, Pluto will remain retrograde through October 13th, heralding a time of introspection and shadow dancing.
Because Pluto rules the realm of resources, Gamblizard astrologer Ashley Boyd tells The Post this transit will serve as a “money wake-up call” for four zodiac signs.

According to Boyd, Gemini folk will no longer be able to ignore their debts.
“Pluto retrograde is lighting up your eighth house — the zone that rules shared finances, debt, taxes, and deeper money ties. If you’ve been dodging cash-based convos or letting financial commitments slide, this retrograde is about to bring that to the surface. The truth? It’s time to face the numbers.”
Daunting as it may seem, dragging your dues into the light is the only way to pay up and progress forward.
“Total up your debt, revisit any joint accounts or financial agreements, and set clear boundaries where needed. If something feels unbalanced, it probably is. Honesty is your superpower this month — even if it’s uncomfortable at first.”
Boyd suggests that archers need to change the way they conceptualize and communicate about money matters.
“Pluto’s reverse spin is hitting your third house of communication and mindset, Sagittarius. That means your thoughts, words, and conversations around money are up for review. Are you avoiding the topic completely? Or maybe you’re sharing too much, too soon, with the wrong people?”
Boyd urges Sag folk to focus on clarity and confidence when setting boundaries and affirming their worth.
“Practice saying things like ‘That’s not in my budget right now’ or ‘Here’s what I charge.’ The way you talk about money influences how others treat you. Shift the dialogue, and your finances might just follow suit.”
Pluto’s retrograde hits your second house of wealth and worth, values and valuables, Capricorn, urging you to consider what financial security means to you and how you support or subvert it with your daily habits.
“You might start noticing cracks in your current money system: spending more than you save, living on autopilot, or clinging to outdated goals. It’s not failure — it’s a wake-up call.”
Boyd recommends that all sea goats take a long, hard look-see at their budgets.
“Where’s the waste? What’s no longer serving you? This is the month to make a real plan — not a ‘maybe one day’ dream, but a clear, doable roadmap for the rest of the year. If you’re stuck, talk to someone smarter than you. Getting real now can save you major stress later.”
Pluto retrograding in your first house of the self makes the financial personal, Aquarius.
“You’re being asked to confront the deeper beliefs you hold about success, wealth, and self-worth. Maybe you’ve been undercharging, avoiding uncomfortable conversations, or relying on a financial structure that just doesn’t support who you’re becoming,” said Boyd.
She recommends going deep and taking the practice to paper with a money journal.
“What’s your first memory about money? What do you actually believe you deserve to earn? Once you name the story, you can begin to change it. This month is all about setting boundaries, renegotiating what you’re worth, and saying no to financial crumbs.”
Take the cake and demand the silver plate, Aquarius.
