The White Lotus star Dom Hetrakul isn’t sure what happened between his character Pornchai and Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda after the events of season 3, but he has some ideas.
Hetrakul, 49, plays Pornchai, a staff member at the White Lotus resort in Thailand, in season 3 of the popular Max series. Speaking exclusively with Us Weekly on April 24 at Jim Thompson’s soirée in honor of The White Lotus, with series creator Mike White and cast members in attendance, the actor shared whether or not he thinks Pornchai and Belinda would ever get back together.
“I don’t know. I don’t know,” he told Us, adding that Belinda could “make up her mind anytime.”
“There’s still chance of making a sicken [sic] opportunity of, what can I say?” Hetrakul said. “I mean the fix is somewhere in the relationship. The fix is just something you feel — so sorry because in that time, even a breakup, she said ‘I’m sorry” a thousand times, even the last glance of her and then there was the last wave, it might have shown there’s an end to another beginning.”
Speaking exclusively with Us at the same event, Rothwell shared which The White Lotus betrayal she thought was worse, Belinda to Pornchai or Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) to Belinda.
“Tanya to Belinda!” Rothwell said, explaining, “She got dicked down good on her company’s dime and she had no obligation to [Pornchai] whatsoever. She didn’t promise him anything and she handled him with kindness.”
The actress also dished to Us about her dream setting for The White Lotus season 4. The anthology series has, so far, taken place in Hawaii, Italy and Thailand, though the location for the next season is not yet known. “Africa the continent, [and] particularly Morocco,” Rothwell suggested. “I feel like Egypt [or] South Africa.”
Rothwell also noted that, if it were up to her, the next installment of The White Lotus would take place at a high school reunion.
“I have a special affinity to high school and my time during high school,” Rothwell told Us, teasing that Belinda’s journey might not be entirely over.
“I don’t think she’s free at all,” Rothwell explained to Us. “She’s got blood money, so I think that there’s unfinished business, but I also feel her story’s complete.”
She continued. “So I think it’s kind of a fork in the road. It could go either way and the master of Faith [White] says right there.”
