Taylor Swift’s merchandise is shaking off any signs of slowing down in sales — even with prices that have some fans clutching their cardigans.
From a $150 varsity-style bomber jacket to a $40 hairbrush featuring the Life of a Showgirl album logo in orange sparkle print on the back and her name on the front (which is no longer available), several of the items are flying off the shelves after the drop.
“No showgirl is complete without an iconic outfit offstage!” Taylor Nation announced on Friday, October 10. “Step inside our dressing room, and shop #TSTheLifeofaShowgirl Collection while supplies last at store.taylorswift.com.”
As expected, Swifties are shelling out on merch just as fast as they did for Eras Tour tickets.
Among the new items that quickly sold out are a $30 pair of silver tone earrings with clear CZ crystals and “opalite” star charm that come in a sparkling mint green glitter box, as well as a matching $35 necklace with lightning bolt designs that has similar features and packaging.
Another piece that was featured on her merch site (before it sold out) was a $125 mint green faux fur coat, as seen on the chart-topping performer in her “The Fate of Ophelia” music video, with a metal “Taylor Swift” logo plate on the interior plus her initials printed in the lining.
There was a pearlescent phone case that costs $40 which got swooped up quickly, as did the $95 black sequin T-shirt dress featuring her iconic “sequins are forever” song lyrics.
The $15 rhinestone-adorned barrette and $20 pearlescent hair clip were also fast to go.
Some pieces that are still available include the violet blue hoodie for $75, as well as the “I Like My Friends Cancelled!” hoodie for $75, in addition to the $55 black sweat shorts.
All items are expected to ship on or around October 25, per the website.
It may come as no surprise that the faux fur mint coat was a hot ticket item considering Swift, 35, wore a similar one over one of her crystal-covered chainmail dresses designed by Kelsey Randall.
“I design for people who are looking to be center stage — whether it’s a bride on her wedding day or a pop star,” Randall told Page Six Style on October 4. “Most of the work I do is custom, which is really fun and exciting because you get the opportunity to tailor it to the person and what kind of message they’re trying to convey.”
“We both got really excited about this chainmail fringe — the way it moves and sparkles,” she added of their collaboration, revealing that Swift was a huge fan of the way it looked. “And we obsessed over the colorways; there was a lot of sending each other rhinestones overnight. We looked at dozens of different options in very similar tones to make the perfect combo.”
Randall said she was hard at work to meet Swift’s deadline for her dress, having also been recruited to create a backup version in rose gold.
She added, “We literally ordered thousands of yards of the chain fringe and all the different rhinestones, and by the time the supplies actually arrived, we had 13 days to make the dress.”
