Tallulah Willis, one of the daughters of exes Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, is getting candid about her body insecurity.
“I am plagued by constantly feeling like I haven’t yet achieved the hot [feeling] or I DID achieve but it’s now passed,” Tallulah, 31, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, May 28. “While it was being achieved, I was unaware, so I didn’t really experience the achieve [sic].”
She continued, “Why is it so hard to achieve? Why is it so hard to be hot in real time? I was so cute! I was so worthy and supple … but also, like, ugh, if only I could do this, this and this, I’d be fine. I’d be OK, I’d achieve. I want to be OK with making the present my hottest [era], thus far, with room to grow.”
Alongside her impactful message, Tallulah uploaded a photo of herself taken several years earlier.
“Grimy bathroom in 2018. [I] loved this dress, but hated the girl within it. Tried my best. I wince at the spaghetti arms [and] felt ruined,” she captioned her post. “It’s my gilded life that I worked so hard for. There’s space for all.”
Several of Tallulah’s celebrity friends immediately took to the comments section to share their support.
“You are so beautiful. And I thought you beautiful then too, in your searching. And with such cheekbones. We laughed. And now,” Selma Blair replied. “The fullness of you is so wondrous and gorgeous and present, I feel. You dazzle. ✨💗💗. Congratulations on learning to love. Even more.”
Juliette Lewis, for her part, gave Tallulah the “simple advice” to avoid looking back in the first place.
“Stay ever present, commune with trees — and pups and loved ones, of course,” Lewis, 51, wrote via Instagram comment. “Hotness all goes away. It’s not what ever matters in the end.”
Tallulah’s inner circle also includes dad Bruce, 70, mom Moore, 61, and sisters Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11. (The Die Hard star shares Rumer, Scout and Tallulah with Moore, and his two youngest daughters with wife Emma Heming Willis.)
“One of the things that has been really beautiful to explore is this ability to give grace to myself. That was something that my dad really instilled in me at a young age,” Tallulah exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2024 of the lessons learned from her parents. “You know, he was a big proponent of being gentle with yourself, and it’s very easy for me to judge all of the aspects of my life that are my autism, because I have been in a world where I’ve experienced those things to be deterrents.”
Tallulah was diagnosed with autism in summer 2023 when she was 29.
