Sharon Stone opened up about a surprise romantic moment with a famous rapper.

During an appearance on What What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the Basic Instinct star, 67, was asked to comment on a rumor that she’d once dated Nelly, 50.

Cohen, 57, guessed Stone’s response before she offered it, telling the audience, “I mean, this is crazy enough that I actually might believe it.” Stone’s fellow WWHL guest star Bob Odenkirk also commented, “I’m going to say yeah.”

Stone then confirmed the rumor: “Yes I did,” she told Cohen, which drew gasps from the studio audience and a shocked reaction from the host before Stone began giggling.

“Did you have a second date?” Cohen pressed further, to which Stone replied with a shake of her head, “No, I did not.”

The actress is currently single and a mother to three children, son, Roan, 25, son, Laird, 20, and son Quinn, 19. Stone adopted her eldest child in 2000 with then-husband Phil Bronstein, whom she separated from in 2003. Two years later, Stone adopted Laird, and the following year saw her adopting Quinn.

For the “Ride Wit Me” musician’s part, the musician is married to fellow rapper Ashanti after tying the knot in 2023. He shares one child with Ashanti, 44, son Kareen, 13 months, and is also a father to four other children: daughter Chanelle, 31, and son Cornell, 26, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Channetta Valentine, as well as son Shawn, 27, and Sydney, 19, who were adopted by Nelly from his sister, Jackie Donahue, after she died of leukemia in 2005.

Stone’s dating admission comes after the actress said in January that finding love hasn’t proven easy over the years. During an interview with The Times, published on January 26, Stone recalled one particularly memorable experience with a “heroin addict.”

Detailing that she’d met the suitor on a dating app, Stone revealed she ended up at Los Angeles’ Hotel Bel-Air with the man who was “clearly 20,000 heroin injections later than the picture he sent” her.

Once Stone learned of the man’s addiction, she told him that a relationship was not on the cards. “I tell the waiter, ‘I’ll have a glass of water.’ He [the date] had a cocktail: absinthe or something. And I said, ‘I’m sorry, I can’t stay,’” she told the outlet at the time.

She also noted that another date once left her feeling “almost like a therapist” as a result of another man speaking at length about a recent split from his wife.

Despite the rocky road, Stone noted that she hoped 2025 would bring her somebody special. “This is the year that I want to fall in love — 100 percent,” she detailed, adding at the time that she was active on the dating app Tinder.
